ఉదయమున యెహోషువ వేకువను లేచి జనులను వ్యూహపరచి, తానును ఇశ్రాయేలీయుల పెద్దలును జను లకుముందుగా హాయిమీదికి పోయిరి.

- 12వారికిని హాయికిని మధ్యను లోయయుండగా అతడు ఇంచుమించు అయిదు వేలమంది మనుష్యులను నియమించి పట్టణమునకు పడమటి వైపున బేతేలునకును హాయికిని మధ్యను పొంచియుండుటకు ఉంచెను.
