19అతడు తన చెయ్యి చాపగా పొంచియున్నవారు మాటులోనుండి త్వరగా లేచి పరుగెత్తి పట్టణములో చొచ్చి దాని పట్టుకొని అప్పుడే తగులబెట్టిరి.
20హాయివారు వెనుక వైపు తిరిగి చూచినప్పుడు ఆ పట్టణముయొక్క పొగ ఆకాశమున కెక్కుచుండెను. అప్పుడు అరణ్యమునకు పారిపోయిన జనులు తిరిగి తమ్మును తరుముచున్న వారి మీద పడుచుండిరి గనుక ఈ తట్టయినను ఆ తట్టయినను పారిపోవుటకు వారికి వీలులేక పోయెను.
21పొంచియున్నవారు పట్టణమును పట్టుకొనియుండుటయు పట్టణపు పొగ యెక్కుచుండు టయు యెహోషువయు ఇశ్రాయేలీయులందరును చూచి నప్పుడు వారు తిరిగి హాయివారిని హతము చేసిరి.
