- 38ఇశ్రాయేలీయులకును మాటు గాండ్రకును నిర్ణయమైన సంకేతమొకటి యుండెను; అదే దనగా వారు పట్టణములోనుండి పొగ గొప్ప మేఘమువలె లేచునట్లు చేయుటయే.
- 39ఇశ్రాయేలీయులు యుద్ధము నుండి వెనుకతీసి తిరిగినప్పుడు బెన్యామీనీయులువీరు మొదటి యుద్ధములో అపజయమొందినట్లు మనచేత ఓడి పోవుదురుగదా అనుకొని, చంపనారంభించి, ఇశ్రాయేలీ యులలో ఇంచుమించు ముప్పదిమంది మనుష్యులను హతము చేసిరి.
