వారిలో క్లెయొపా అనువాడు యెరూషలేములో బస చేయుచుండి, యీ దినములలో అక్కడ జరిగిన సంగతులు నీవొకడవే యెరుగవా? అని ఆయనను అడిగెను.

Vaarilo kleyopaa anuvaadu yerooshalemulo basa cheyuchundi, yee dinamulalo akkada jarigina sangatulu neevokadave yerugavaa? Ani aayananu adigenu.

King James Version (KJV): And the one of them, whose name was Cleopas, answering said unto him, Art thou only a stranger in Jerusalem, and hast not known the things which are come to pass there in these days?
World English Bible (WEB): One of them, named Cleopas, answered him, “Are you the only stranger in Jerusalem who doesn’t know the things which have happened there in these days?”

17ఆయన మీరు నడుచుచు ఒకరితో ఒకరు చెప్పుకొనుచున్న యీ మాట లేమని అడుగగా వారు దుఃఖముఖులై నిలిచిరి.
18వారిలో క్లెయొపా అనువాడు యెరూషలేములో బస చేయుచుండి, యీ దినములలో అక్కడ జరిగిన సంగతులు నీవొకడవే యెరుగవా? అని ఆయనను అడిగెను.
19ఆయన అవి ఏవని వారిని అడిగినప్పుడు వారునజరేయుడైన యేసును గూర్చిన సంగతులే; ఆయన దేవునియెదుటను ప్రజలందరియెదుటను క్రియలోను వాక్యములోను శక్తి గల ప్రవక్తయై యుండెను.
20మన ప్రధాన యాజకులును అధికారులును ఆయనను ఏలాగు మరణశిక్షకు అప్పగించి, సిలువవేయించిరో నీకు తెలియదా?
