Then I told them of the hand of my God which was good upon me; as also the king’s words that he had spoken unto me. And they said, Let us rise up and build. So they strengthened their hands for [this] good [work].

3. 18ఇదియుగాక నాకు సహాయము చేయు దేవుని కరుణాహస్తమును గూర్చియు, రాజు నాకు సెలవిచ్చిన మాటలన్నియు నేను వారితో చెప్పితిని. అందుకు వారు - మనము కట్టుటకు పూనుకొందము రండని చెప్పి యీ మంచికార్యము చేయుటకై బలము తెచ్చుకొనిరి.
4. 19అయితే హోరోనీయుడైన సన్బల్లటును, అమ్మో నీయుడైన దాసుడగు టోబీయా అనువాడును, అరబీయు డైన గెషెమును ఆ మాట వినినప్పుడు మమ్మును హేళన చేసి మా పని తృణీకరించి మీరు చేయు పనియేమిటి? రాజుమీద తిరుగుబాటు చేయుదురా అని చెప్పిరి.
5. 20అందుకు నేను - ఆకాశమందు నివాసియైన దేవుడు తానే మా యత్నమును సఫలము చేయును గనుక ఆయన దాసులమైన మేము కట్టుటకు పూనుకొనుచున్నాము, యెరూషలేమునందు మీకు భాగమైనను స్వతంత్రమైనను జ్ఞాపక సూచనయైనను లేదని ప్రత్యుత్తరమిచ్చితిని.
