అనగా శరీరసంబంధులైన పిల్లలు దేవుని పిల్లలు కారు గాని వాగ్దాన సంబంధులైన పిల్లలు సంతానమని యెంచ బడుదురు.

7అబ్రాహాము సంతానమైనంత మాత్రముచేత అందరును పిల్లలు కారు గాని ఇస్సాకు వల్లనైనది నీ సంతానము అనబడును,

9వాగ్దానరూపమైన వాక్యమిదేమీదటికి ఈ సమయమునకు వచ్చెదను; అప్పుడు శారాకు కుమారుడు కలుగును.
10అంతేకాదు; రిబ్కా మన తండ్రియైన ఇస్సాకు అను ఒకనివలన గర్భవతియైనప్పుడు,
