13तब दाऊद अपने जनों समेत अपना मार्ग चला गया, और शिमी उसके साम्हने के पहाड़ की अलंग पर से शाप देता, और उस पर पत्थर और धूलि फेंकता हुआ चला गया।
14निदान राजा अपने संग के सब लोगों समेत अपने ठिकाने पर थका हुआ पहुंचा; और वहां विश्राम किया।
15अबशालोम सब इस्राएली लोगों समेत यरूशलेम को आया, और उसके संग अहीतोपेल भी आया।
16जब दाऊद का मित्रा एरेकी हूशै अबशालोम के पास पहुंचा, तब हूशै ने अबशालोम से कहा, राजा चिरंजीव रहे! राजा चिरंजीव रहे!
17अबशालोम ने उस से कहा, क्या यह तेरी प्रीति है जो तू अपने मित्रा से रखता है? तू अपने मित्रा के संग क्यों नहीं गया?
