हे प्रभु, तू धर्मी है, परन्तु हम लोगों को आज के दिन लज्जित होना पड़ता है, अर्थात् यरूशलेम के निवासी आदि सब यहूदी, क्या समीप क्या दूर के सब इस्राएली लोग जिन्हें तू ने उस विश्वासघात के कारण जो उन्होें ने तेरा किया था, देश देश में बरबस कर दिया है, उन सभों को लज्जित होना पड़ता है।

He prabhu, too dharmee hai, parantu ham logom ko aaj ke din lajjit honaa padataa hai, arthaat yarooshalem ke nivaasee aadi sab yahoodee, kyaa sameep kyaa door ke sab israaelee log jinhem too ne us vishvaasaghaat ke kaaran jo unhoేm ne teraa kiyaa thaa, desh desh mem barabas kar diyaa hai, un sabhom ko lajjit honaa padataa hai.

King James Version (KJV): O Lord, righteousness [belongeth] unto thee, but unto us confusion of faces, as at this day; to the men of Judah, and to the inhabitants of Jerusalem, and unto all Israel, [that are] near, and [that are] far off, through all the countries whither thou hast driven them, because of their trespass that they have trespassed against thee.

9परन्तु, यद्यपि हम अपने परमेश्वर प्रभु से फिर गए, तौभी तू दयासागर और क्षमा की खानि है।
