ಆಗ ಇಷಯನು ಅಬೀನಾ ದಾಬನನ್ನು ಕರೆದು ಅವನನ್ನು ಸಮುವೇಲನ ಮುಂದೆ ಬರಮಾಡಿದನು; ಆದರೆ ಅವನು--ಇವನನ್ನು ಕರ್ತನು ಆದುಕೊಳ್ಳಲಿಲ್ಲ ಅಂದನು.
Aaga ishayanu abeenaa daabanannu karedu avanannu samuvelana munde baramaadidanu; aadare avanu--ivanannu kartanu aadukollalilla andanu.

- 8ಆಗ ಇಷಯನು ಅಬೀನಾ ದಾಬನನ್ನು ಕರೆದು ಅವನನ್ನು ಸಮುವೇಲನ ಮುಂದೆ ಬರಮಾಡಿದನು; ಆದರೆ ಅವನು--ಇವನನ್ನು ಕರ್ತನು ಆದುಕೊಳ್ಳಲಿಲ್ಲ ಅಂದನು.
- 9ಇಷಯನು ಶಮ್ಮನನ್ನು ಬರಮಾಡಿದನು; ಆದರೆ ಅವನು--ಇವನನ್ನು ಕರ್ತನು ಆದುಕೊಳ್ಳಲಿಲ್ಲ ಅಂದನು.
- 10ಅನಂತರ ಇಷಯನು ತನ್ನ ಏಳುಮಂದಿ ಕುಮಾರರನ್ನು ಸಮುವೇಲನ ಮುಂದೆ ಬರಮಾಡಿದನು; ಆದರೆ ಸಮುವೇಲನು ಇಷಯ ನಿಗೆ--ಕರ್ತನು ಇವರಲ್ಲಿ ಒಬ್ಬನನ್ನಾದರೂ ಆದುಕೊಳ್ಳ ಲಿಲ್ಲ ಅಂದನು.
