ಹಾಗೆಯೇ ಅವರನ್ನು ಕತ್ತಿಯಿಂದ ಸಂಹರಿಸಿದರು. ಕಾವಲು ಗಾರನೂ ಅಧಿಪತಿಗಳೂ ಅವರನ್ನು ಹೊರಗೆ ಹಾಕಿದ ತರುವಾಯ ಬಾಳನ ಮನೆಯ ಪಟ್ಟಣಕ್ಕೆ ಹೋಗಿ ಬಾಳನ ಮನೆಯಿಂದ ವಿಗ್ರಹವನ್ನು ತಂದು ಅವುಗಳನ್ನು ಸುಟ್ಟುಬಿಟ್ಟರು.

Haageye avarannu kattiyinda sanharisidaru. Kaavalu gaaranoo adhipatigaloo avarannu horage haakida taruvaaya baalana maneya pattanakke hogi baalana maneyinda vigrahavannu tandu avugalannu suttubittaru.

24ಅವರು ಬಲಿಗ ಳನ್ನೂ ದಹನಬಲಿಗಳನ್ನೂ ಅರ್ಪಿಸಲು ಒಳಗೆ ಪ್ರವೇ ಶಿಸಿದ ತರುವಾಯ ಯೇಹುವು ಹೊರಗೆ ಎಂಭತ್ತು ಮಂದಿಯನ್ನು ಇರಿಸಿಕೊಂಡು ಅವರಿಗೆ--ನಾನು ನಿಮ್ಮ ಕೈಗೆ ಒಪ್ಪಿಸಿದ ಜನರಲ್ಲಿ ಯಾವನಾದರೂ ತಪ್ಪಿಸಿಕೊಂಡು ಹೋದರೆ ಅವನ ಪ್ರಾಣಕ್ಕೆ ನಿಮ್ಮ ಪ್ರಾಣ ಈಡಾಗಿ ರುವದು ಅಂದನು.
25ಅವನು ದಹನಬಲಿಯನ್ನು ಅರ್ಪಿಸಿ ತೀರಿಸಿದ ತರುವಾಯ ಏನಾಯಿತಂದರೆ, ಯೇಹುವು ಕಾವಲುಗಾರನಿಗೂ ಅಧಿಪತಿಗಳಿಗೂನೀವು ಒಳಗೆ ಹೋಗಿ ಯಾವನೂ ಹೊರಗೆ ಬಾರದ ಹಾಗೆ ಅವರನ್ನು ಸಂಹರಿಸಿರಿ ಅಂದನು.
26ಹಾಗೆಯೇ ಅವರನ್ನು ಕತ್ತಿಯಿಂದ ಸಂಹರಿಸಿದರು. ಕಾವಲು ಗಾರನೂ ಅಧಿಪತಿಗಳೂ ಅವರನ್ನು ಹೊರಗೆ ಹಾಕಿದ ತರುವಾಯ ಬಾಳನ ಮನೆಯ ಪಟ್ಟಣಕ್ಕೆ ಹೋಗಿ ಬಾಳನ ಮನೆಯಿಂದ ವಿಗ್ರಹವನ್ನು ತಂದು ಅವುಗಳನ್ನು ಸುಟ್ಟುಬಿಟ್ಟರು.
27ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ಅವರು ಬಾಳನ ವಿಗ್ರಹ ವನ್ನು ಒಡೆದುಹಾಕಿ ಬಾಳನ ಮನೆಯನ್ನು ಕೆಡವಿಬಿಟ್ಟು ಅದನ್ನು ಈ ಹೊತ್ತಿನ ವರೆಗೂ ತಿಪ್ಪೆಯಾಗಿ ಮಾಡಿದರು.
28ಹೀಗೆಯೇ ಯೇಹುವು ಬಾಳನನ್ನು ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲಿ ನಲ್ಲಿಂದ ನಾಶಮಾಡಿಬಿಟ್ಟನು.
