ಇನ್ನೂ ಹೊತ್ತಿರು ವಾಗಲೇ ಜನರೆಲ್ಲರು ಬಂದು-- ಊಟಮಾಡು ಎಂದು ದಾವೀದನಿಗೆ ಹೇಳಿದಾಗ ದಾವೀದನು--ಸೂರ್ಯನು ಅಸ್ತಮಿಸುವದಕ್ಕಿಂತ ಮುಂಚೆ ನಾನು ರೊಟ್ಟಿಯನ್ನಾ ದರೂ ಮತ್ತೇನಾದರೂ ರುಚಿ ನೋಡಿದರೆ ದೇವರು ನನಗೆ ಹಾಗೇ ಮಾಡಲಿ, ಅಧಿಕವಾಗಿಯೂ ಮಾಡ ಲೆಂದು ಆಣೆಇಟ್ಟು ಹೇಳಿದನು.

- 35ಇನ್ನೂ ಹೊತ್ತಿರು ವಾಗಲೇ ಜನರೆಲ್ಲರು ಬಂದು-- ಊಟಮಾಡು ಎಂದು ದಾವೀದನಿಗೆ ಹೇಳಿದಾಗ ದಾವೀದನು--ಸೂರ್ಯನು ಅಸ್ತಮಿಸುವದಕ್ಕಿಂತ ಮುಂಚೆ ನಾನು ರೊಟ್ಟಿಯನ್ನಾ ದರೂ ಮತ್ತೇನಾದರೂ ರುಚಿ ನೋಡಿದರೆ ದೇವರು ನನಗೆ ಹಾಗೇ ಮಾಡಲಿ, ಅಧಿಕವಾಗಿಯೂ ಮಾಡ ಲೆಂದು ಆಣೆಇಟ್ಟು ಹೇಳಿದನು.
- 36ಜನರೆಲ್ಲರು ಅದನ್ನು ತಿಳಿದುಕೊಂಡಾಗ ಅವರೆಲ್ಲರಿಗೆ ಮೆಚ್ಚಿಕೆಯಾಯಿತು. ಹಾಗೆಯೇ ಅರಸನು ಏನೇನು ಮಾಡಿದನೋ ಅದು ಜನರಿಗೆ ಮೆಚ್ಚಿಕೆಯಾಗಿತ್ತು.
- 37ನೇರನ ಮಗನಾದ ಅಬ್ನೇರನನ್ನು ಕೊಂದುಹಾಕಿದ್ದು ಅರಸನಿಂದ ಆದ ದ್ದಲ್ಲವೆಂದು ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಜನರೂ ಸಮಸ್ತ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲ್ಯರೂ ಆ ದಿನದಲ್ಲಿ ತಿಳಿದುಕೊಂಡರು.
