ಆಕಾಶದ ಕೆಳಗೆ ಪ್ರತಿಯೊಂದು ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ಕೂ ಒಂದು ಕಾಲವಿದೆ; ಪ್ರತಿಯೊಂದು ಉದ್ದೇಶಕ್ಕೂ ಒಂದು ಸಮಯವಿದೆ.
To every [thing there is] a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven:
ಹುಟ್ಟುವದಕ್ಕೆ ಒಂದು ಸಮಯ, ಸಾಯುವದಕ್ಕೆ ಒಂದು ಸಮಯ; ನೆಡುವದಕ್ಕೆ ಒಂದು ಸಮಯ, ನೆಟ್ಟದ್ದನ್ನು ಕಿತ್ತು ಹಾಕು ವದಕ್ಕೆ ಒಂದು ಸಮಯ;
A time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up [that which is] planted;
ಕೊಲ್ಲುವದಕ್ಕೆ ಒಂದು ಸಮಯ, ಸ್ವಸ್ಥಮಾಡುವದಕ್ಕೆ ಒಂದು ಸಮಯ ಕೆಡವಿ ಬಿಡುವದಕ್ಕೆ ಒಂದು ಸಮಯ, ಕಟ್ಟುವದಕ್ಕೆ ಒಂದು ಸಮಯ;
A time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up;
ಅಳುವದಕ್ಕೆ ಒಂದು ಸಮಯ, ನಗುವದಕ್ಕೆ ಒಂದು ಸಮಯ; ಗೋಳಾಡುವದಕ್ಕೆ ಒಂದು ಸಮಯ, ಕುಣಿದಾಡುವದಕ್ಕೆ ಒಂದು ಸಮಯ;
A time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance;
ಕಲ್ಲುಗಳನ್ನು ಎಸೆಯುವದಕ್ಕೆ ಒಂದು ಸಮಯ, ಕಲ್ಲುಗಳನ್ನು ಕೂಡಿಸು ವದಕ್ಕೆ ಒಂದು ಸಮಯ; ಅಪ್ಪಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವದಕ್ಕೆ ಒಂದು ಸಮಯ, ಅಪ್ಪಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವದರಿಂದ ನಿಗ್ರಹಿಸುವ ಸಮ ಯ;
A time to cast away stones, and a time to gather stones together; a time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing;
ಗಳಿಸುವದಕ್ಕೆ ಒಂದು ಸಮಯ, ಕಳೆಯುವದಕ್ಕೆ ಒಂದು ಸಮಯ ಕಾಪಾಡುವದಕ್ಕೆ ಒಂದು ಸಮಯ, ಬಿಸಾಡುವದಕ್ಕೆ ಒಂದು ಸಮಯ;
A time to get, and a time to lose; a time to keep, and a time to cast away;
ಹರಿಯುವದಕ್ಕೆ ಒಂದು ಸಮಯ, ಹೊಲಿಯುವದಕ್ಕೆ ಒಂದು ಸಮಯ ಸುಮ್ಮನೆ ಇರುವದಕ್ಕೆ ಒಂದು ಸಮಯ, ಮಾತಾಡು ವದಕ್ಕೆ ಒಂದು ಸಮಯ;
A time to rend, and a time to sew; a time to keep silence, and a time to speak;
ಪ್ರೀತಿಸುವದಕ್ಕೆ ಒಂದು ಸಮಯ, ದ್ವೇಷಿಸುವದಕ್ಕೆ ಒಂದು ಸಮಯ; ಯುದ್ಧದ ಸಮಯ, ಸಮಾಧಾನದ ಸಮಯ.
A time to love, and a time to hate; a time of war, and a time of peace.
ತಾನು ಪ್ರಯಾಸಪಡುವದರಲ್ಲಿ ದುಡಿಯುವವನಿಗೆ ಲಾಭವೇನಿದೆ?
What profit hath he that worketh in that wherein he laboureth?
ಅದರಲ್ಲಿ ಅಭ್ಯಾಸಿಸುವಂತೆ ಮನು ಷ್ಯರ ಪುತ್ರರಿಗೆ ದೇವರು ಕೊಟ್ಟ ಪ್ರಯಾಸವನ್ನು ನಾನು ಕಂಡಿದ್ದೇನೆ.
I have seen the travail, which God hath given to the sons of men to be exercised in it.
ತನ್ನ ಸಮಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರತಿಯೊಂದನ್ನು ಆತನು ಸುಂದರವಾಗಿ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದಾನೆ. ಆದಿಯಿಂದ ಅಂತ್ಯದ ವರೆಗೂ ದೇವರು ನಡಿಸುವ ಕೆಲಸವನ್ನು ಯಾವ ಮನುಷ್ಯನೂ ಗ್ರಹಿಸಲಾರದಂತೆ ಅವರ ಹೃದಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಆತನು ಲೋಕವನ್ನು ಇಟ್ಟಿದ್ದಾನೆ.
He hath made every [thing] beautiful in his time: also he hath set the world in their heart, so that no man can find out the work that God maketh from the beginning to the end.
ಒಬ್ಬನು ಸಂತೋಷಿಸಿ ತನ್ನ ಜೀವಮಾನದಲ್ಲಿ ಒಳ್ಳೇ ದನ್ನು ಮಾಡುವದೇ ಹೊರತು ಅವುಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಯಾವ ಮೇಲೂ ಇಲ್ಲವೆಂದು ನಾನು ಬಲ್ಲೆನು.
I know that [there is] no good in them, but for [a man] to rejoice, and to do good in his life.
ಪ್ರತಿ ಯೊಬ್ಬನು ತಿಂದು, ಕುಡಿದು, ತನ್ನ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಪ್ರಯಾಸದ ಮೇಲನ್ನು ಅನುಭವಿಸುವದು ದೇವರ ದಾನದಿಂದಲೇ.
And also that every man should eat and drink, and enjoy the good of all his labour, it [is] the gift of God.
ದೇವರು ಮಾಡುವದೆಲ್ಲವು ಶಾಶ್ವತವಾಗಿರುವದೆಂದು ನಾನು ಬಲ್ಲೆನು; ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಯಾವದನ್ನೂ ಸೇರಿಸಬಾರದು, ಇಲ್ಲವೆ ಅದರಿಂದ ಯಾವದನ್ನೂ ತೆಗೆಯಬಾರದು; ಮನುಷ್ಯರು ಆತನ ಎದುರಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಭಯಪಡುವಂತೆ ದೇವರು ಅದನ್ನು ಮಾಡುತ್ತಾನೆ.
I know that, whatsoever God doeth, it shall be for ever: nothing can be put to it, nor any thing taken from it: and God doeth [it], that [men] should fear before him.
ಇದ್ದದ್ದು ಈಗ ಇದೆ, ಇರುವದು ಆಗಲೇ ಇತ್ತು; ಗತಿಸಿಹೋದದ್ದನ್ನು ದೇವರು ಕೇಳುತ್ತಾನೆ.
That which hath been is now; and that which is to be hath already been; and God requireth that which is past.
ಕೆಟ್ಟದ್ದು ಇತ್ತೆಂದು ಸೂರ್ಯನ ಕೆಳಗೆ ನ್ಯಾಯ ತೀರ್ಪಿನ ಸ್ಥಳವನ್ನು ಮತ್ತು ದುಷ್ಕೃತ್ಯ ಇದೆಯೆಂದು ನೀತಿಯ ಸ್ಥಾನವನ್ನು ನಾನು ಕಂಡೆನು.
And moreover I saw under the sun the place of judgment, [that] wickedness [was] there; and the place of righteousness, [that] iniquity [was] there.
ನಾನು ನನ್ನ ಹೃದಯದಲ್ಲಿ -- ನೀತಿವಂತರನ್ನೂ ದುಷ್ಟರನ್ನೂ ದೇವರು ತೀರ್ಪುಮಾಡುವನು; ಪ್ರತಿಯೊಂದು ಉದ್ದೇ ಶಕ್ಕೂ ಪ್ರತಿಯೊಂದು ಕೆಲಸಕ್ಕೂ ಸಮಯವಿದೆ ಎಂದು ಅಂದುಕೊಂಡೆನು.
I said in mine heart, God shall judge the righteous and the wicked: for [there is] a time there for every purpose and for every work.
ಮನುಷ್ಯ ಪುತ್ರರ ಸ್ಥಿತಿಯ ವಿಷ ಯವಾಗಿ ದೇವರು ಅವರನ್ನು ಪ್ರತ್ಯಕ್ಷಪಡಿಸುವನೆಂದೂ ಅವರು ತಾವೇ ಮೃಗಗಳೆಂದು ತಾವು ಕಂಡುಕೊಳ್ಳ ಬೇಕೆಂದು ನನ್ನ ಹೃದಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಅಂದುಕೊಂಡೆನು.
I said in mine heart concerning the estate of the sons of men, that God might manifest them, and that they might see that they themselves are beasts.
ಮೃಗಗಳಿಗೆ ಸಂಭವಿಸುವದು ಮನುಷ್ಯರ ಪುತ್ರರಿಗೂ ಸಂಭವಿಸುತ್ತದೆ; ಅವರಿಗೆ ಒಂದೇ ಸಂಗತಿ ಸಂಭವಿಸು ತ್ತದೆ; ಒಂದು ಸಾಯುವ ಹಾಗೆ ಮತ್ತೊಂದು ಸಾಯು ತ್ತದೆ; ಹೌದು, ಅವರೆಲ್ಲರಿಗೂ ಒಂದೇ ಒಂದು ಉಸಿ ರಾಟ ಇದೆ; ಆದಕಾರಣ ಮೃಗಕ್ಕಿಂತ ಮನುಷ್ಯನಿಗೆ ಯಾವ ಶ್ರೇಷ್ಠತೆಯೂ ಇಲ್ಲ; ಎಲ್ಲವೂ ವ್ಯರ್ಥ.
For that which befalleth the sons of men befalleth beasts; even one thing befalleth them: as the one dieth, so dieth the other; yea, they have all one breath; so that a man hath no preeminence above a beast: for all [is] vanity.
ಎಲ್ಲವೂ ಒಂದೇ ಸ್ಥಳಕ್ಕೆ ಹೋಗುತ್ತವೆ; ಎಲ್ಲವು ಗಳೂ ಮಣ್ಣಿನವುಗಳೇ ಮತ್ತು ಎಲ್ಲವೂ ಮಣ್ಣಿಗೆ ಸೇರುತ್ತವೆ.
All go unto one place; all are of the dust, and all turn to dust again.
ಮನುಷ್ಯನ ಪ್ರಾಣವು ಮೇಲಕ್ಕೆ ಹೋಗುತ್ತದೆ ಎಂದೂ ಮೃಗದ ಪ್ರಾಣವು ಭೂಮಿಯ ಕೆಳಕ್ಕೆ ಹೋಗುತ್ತದೆ ಎಂದೂ ಯಾವನು ತಿಳಿದಾನು?ಆದಕಾರಣ ಮನುಷ್ಯನು ತನ್ನ ಸ್ವಂತ ಕೆಲಸಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಆನಂದಿಸುವದಕ್ಕಿಂತ ಒಳ್ಳೆಯದು ಯಾವದೂ ಇಲ್ಲ ವೆಂದು ನಾನು ಗ್ರಹಿಸುತ್ತೇನೆ; ಅದೇ ಅವನ ಪಾಲು; ಅದರಿಂದ ತನ್ನ ಜೀವಮಾನದ ನಂತರ ಸಂಭವಿಸುವದನ್ನು ನೋಡುವಂತೆ ಯಾವನು ಅವನನ್ನು ಪುನಃ ಬರಮಾಡುತ್ತಾನೆ.?
Who knoweth the spirit of man that goeth upward, and the spirit of the beast that goeth downward to the earth?
ಆದಕಾರಣ ಮನುಷ್ಯನು ತನ್ನ ಸ್ವಂತ ಕೆಲಸಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಆನಂದಿಸುವದಕ್ಕಿಂತ ಒಳ್ಳೆಯದು ಯಾವದೂ ಇಲ್ಲ ವೆಂದು ನಾನು ಗ್ರಹಿಸುತ್ತೇನೆ; ಅದೇ ಅವನ ಪಾಲು; ಅದರಿಂದ ತನ್ನ ಜೀವಮಾನದ ನಂತರ ಸಂಭವಿಸುವದನ್ನು ನೋಡುವಂತೆ ಯಾವನು ಅವನನ್ನು ಪುನಃ ಬರಮಾಡುತ್ತಾನೆ.?
Wherefore I perceive that [there is] nothing better, than that a man should rejoice in his own works; for that [is] his portion: for who shall bring him to see what shall be after him?
