ಹೀಗಿರುವದರಿಂದ ಕರ್ತನು ಜನರನ್ನು ಕೆಂಪು ಸಮುದ್ರದ ಅರಣ್ಯ ಮಾರ್ಗ ದಲ್ಲಿ ಸುತ್ತಿಕೊಂಡು ಹೋಗುವಂತೆ ಮಾಡಿದನು. ಆದಾಗ್ಯೂ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲ್‌ ಮಕ್ಕಳು ಯುದ್ಧಸನ್ನದ್ಧರಾಗಿ ಐಗುಪ್ತದೇಶದೊಳಗಿಂದ ಹೋದರು.

- 17ಫರೋಹನು ಜನರನ್ನು ಕಳುಹಿಸಿಬಿಟ್ಟಾಗ ಫಿಲಿಷ್ಟಿಯರ ದೇಶದ ದಾರಿಯು ಸವಿಾಪವಿದ್ದರೂ ದೇವರು ಅವರನ್ನು ಅದರಲ್ಲಿ ನಡಿಸಲಿಲ್ಲ; ಯಾಕಂದರೆ ದೇವರು--ಜನರು ಯುದ್ಧವನ್ನು ನೋಡಿ ಮನಸ್ಸನ್ನು ಬೇರೆ ಮಾಡಿಕೊಂಡು ಅವರು ಐಗುಪ್ತಕ್ಕೆ ಹಿಂದಿರುಗಾರು ಎಂದು ಅಂದುಕೊಂಡನು.
- 18ಹೀಗಿರುವದರಿಂದ ಕರ್ತನು ಜನರನ್ನು ಕೆಂಪು ಸಮುದ್ರದ ಅರಣ್ಯ ಮಾರ್ಗ ದಲ್ಲಿ ಸುತ್ತಿಕೊಂಡು ಹೋಗುವಂತೆ ಮಾಡಿದನು. ಆದಾಗ್ಯೂ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲ್‌ ಮಕ್ಕಳು ಯುದ್ಧಸನ್ನದ್ಧರಾಗಿ ಐಗುಪ್ತದೇಶದೊಳಗಿಂದ ಹೋದರು.
- 19ಆಗ ಮೋಶೆಯು ತನ್ನೊಂದಿಗೆ ಯೋಸೇಫನ ಎಲುಬು ಗಳನ್ನು ತಕ್ಕೊಂಡು ಹೋದನು. ಅವನು ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲ್‌ ಮಕ್ಕಳಿಗೆ--ದೇವರು ನಿಶ್ಚಯವಾಗಿಯೂ ನಿಮ್ಮನ್ನು ದರ್ಶಿಸುವನು. ಆಗ ನೀವು ನನ್ನ ಎಲುಬುಗಳನ್ನು ಇಲ್ಲಿಂದ ನಿಮ್ಮ ಕೂಡ ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಂಡು ಹೋಗಬೇಕು ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿ ಖಂಡಿತವಾಗಿ ಪ್ರಮಾಣಮಾಡಿಸಿದ್ದನು.
- 20ಹೀಗೆ ಅವರು ಸುಕ್ಕೋತಿನಿಂದ ಪ್ರಯಾಣಮಾಡಿ ಏತಾಮಿನ ಅರಣ್ಯದ ಅಂಚಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಇಳುಕೊಂಡರು.
