ಆಗ ಸೆರೆಯ ಮಕ್ಕಳೆಲ್ಲರೂ ಯೆರೂಸಲೇಮಿಗೆ ಕೂಡಿ ಬರಬೇಕೆಂದು ಯೆಹೂದ ಮತ್ತು ಯೆರೂಸ ಲೇಮಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಎಲ್ಲೆಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಪ್ರಕಟಿಸಿದರು.

- 6ಎಜ್ರನು ದೇವರ ಆಲಯದ ಮುಂದಿ ನಿಂದ ಎದ್ದು ಎಲ್ಯಾಷೀಬಿನ ಮಗನಾದ ಯೆಹೋಹಾ ನಾನನ ಕೊಠಡಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರವೇಶಿಸಿ ಅಲ್ಲಿಗೆ ಬಂದಾಗ ರೊಟ್ಟಿಯನ್ನು ತಿನ್ನದೆ ನೀರನ್ನು ಕುಡಿಯದೆ ಇದ್ದನು; ಯಾಕಂದರೆ ಸೆರೆಯಾಗಿ ಒಯ್ಯಲ್ಪಟ್ಟವರ ಅಕೃತ್ಯಕ್ಕೋಸ್ಕರ ದುಃಖಿಸಿದನು.
- 7ಆಗ ಸೆರೆಯ ಮಕ್ಕಳೆಲ್ಲರೂ ಯೆರೂಸಲೇಮಿಗೆ ಕೂಡಿ ಬರಬೇಕೆಂದು ಯೆಹೂದ ಮತ್ತು ಯೆರೂಸ ಲೇಮಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಎಲ್ಲೆಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಪ್ರಕಟಿಸಿದರು.
- 8ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ಯಾವನಾದರೂ ಪ್ರಧಾನರ, ಹಿರಿಯರ ಯೋಚನೆಯ ಪ್ರಕಾರ ಮೂರು ದಿವಸದಲ್ಲಿ ಬಾರದೆ ಇದ್ದರೆ ಅವನ ಆಸ್ತಿಯಲ್ಲಾ ದಂಡವಾಗಿ ತಕ್ಕೊಳ್ಳಲ್ಪಡುವದೆಂದೂ ಅವನು ಸೆರೆಯಾಗಿ ಒಯ್ಯಲ್ಪಟ್ಟವರ ಕೂಟದಿಂದ ಹೊರಗೆ ಹಾಕಲ್ಪಡುವನೆಂದೂ ಸಾರಿದರು.
- 9ಆಗ ಯೆಹೂದ ಮತ್ತು ಬೆನ್ಯಾವಿಾನಿನ ಮನುಷ್ಯರೆಲ್ಲರೂ ಮೂರು ದಿವಸಗಳೊಳಗೆ ಯೆರೂಸಲೇಮಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಕೂಡಿ ದರು. ಅದು ಒಂಭತ್ತನೇ ತಿಂಗಳ ಇಪ್ಪತ್ತನೇ ದಿವಸ ವಾಗಿತ್ತು. ಜನರೆಲ್ಲರು ದೇವರ ಆಲಯದ ಬೀದಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಆ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ಕೊಸ್ಕರವೂ ಮಳೆಗೋಸ್ಕರವೂ ನಡುಗಿ ಕೂತುಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದರು.

- 2 Chronicles 30:5 2 ಪೂರ್ವಕಾಲವೃತ್ತಾಂತ 30:5ಆದದರಿಂದ ಅವರು ಯೆರೂಸಲೇಮಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲಿನ ದೇವರಾದ ಕರ್ತನಿಗೆ ಪಸ್ಕವನ್ನು ಆಚರಿಸಲು ಬರಬೇಕೆಂದು ಬೇರ್ಷೆಬವು ಮೊದಲುಗೊಂಡು ದಾನಿನ ವರೆಗೂ ಸಮಸ್ತ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಕೂಗಿ ಸಾರಲು ನಿರ್ಣಯಿ ಸಿದರು. ಯಾಕಂದರೆ ಬರೆಯಲ್ಪಟ್ಟ ಹಾಗೆ ಅವರು ಅದನ್ನು ಬಹು ಕಾಲದಿಂದ ಆಚರಿಸಿದ್ದಿಲ್ಲ.
