ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ಯಾವನಾದರೂ ಪ್ರಧಾನರ, ಹಿರಿಯರ ಯೋಚನೆಯ ಪ್ರಕಾರ ಮೂರು ದಿವಸದಲ್ಲಿ ಬಾರದೆ ಇದ್ದರೆ ಅವನ ಆಸ್ತಿಯಲ್ಲಾ ದಂಡವಾಗಿ ತಕ್ಕೊಳ್ಳಲ್ಪಡುವದೆಂದೂ ಅವನು ಸೆರೆಯಾಗಿ ಒಯ್ಯಲ್ಪಟ್ಟವರ ಕೂಟದಿಂದ ಹೊರಗೆ ಹಾಕಲ್ಪಡುವನೆಂದೂ ಸಾರಿದರು.

- 9ಆಗ ಯೆಹೂದ ಮತ್ತು ಬೆನ್ಯಾವಿಾನಿನ ಮನುಷ್ಯರೆಲ್ಲರೂ ಮೂರು ದಿವಸಗಳೊಳಗೆ ಯೆರೂಸಲೇಮಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಕೂಡಿ ದರು. ಅದು ಒಂಭತ್ತನೇ ತಿಂಗಳ ಇಪ್ಪತ್ತನೇ ದಿವಸ ವಾಗಿತ್ತು. ಜನರೆಲ್ಲರು ದೇವರ ಆಲಯದ ಬೀದಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಆ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ಕೊಸ್ಕರವೂ ಮಳೆಗೋಸ್ಕರವೂ ನಡುಗಿ ಕೂತುಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದರು.
- 10ಆಗ ಯಾಜಕನಾದ ಎಜ್ರನು ಎದ್ದು ಅವರಿಗೆ--ನೀವು ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲ್ಯರ ಅಪರಾಧ ವನ್ನು ಅಧಿಕವಾಗಿ ಮಾಡಲು ಅನ್ಯಸ್ತ್ರೀಯರನು್ನು ಮದುವೆಮಾಡಿಕೊಂಡದ್ದರಿಂದ ಅಕೃತ್ಯ ಮಾಡಿದಿರಿ.
