ಇವುಗಳಾದ ಮೇಲೆ ಒಬ್ಬನು ಯೋಸೇಫನಿಗೆ--ಇಗೋ, ನಿನ್ನ ತಂದೆಯು ಅಸ್ವಸ್ಥ ನಾಗಿದ್ದಾನೆ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದನು. ಆಗ ಅವನು ತನ್ನ ಇಬ್ಬರು ಕುಮಾರರಾದ ಮನಸ್ಸೆಯನ್ನೂ ಎಫ್ರಾಯಾಮ ನನ್ನೂ ಕರಕೊಂಡು ಬಂದನು.
And it came to pass after these things, that [one] told Joseph, Behold, thy father [is] sick: and he took with him his two sons, Manasseh and Ephraim.
ಆಗ ಒಬ್ಬನು ಯಾಕೋಬನಿಗೆ--ಇಗೋ, ನಿನ್ನ ಮಗನಾದ ಯೋಸೇ ಫನು ನಿನ್ನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಬರುತ್ತಾನೆ ಎಂದು ತಿಳಿಸಿದಾಗ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲನು ಚೇತರಿಸಿಕೊಂಡು ಹಾಸಿಗೆಯ ಮೇಲೆ ಕೂತುಕೊಂಡನು.
And [one] told Jacob, and said, Behold, thy son Joseph cometh unto thee: and Israel strengthened himself, and sat upon the bed.
ಆಗ ಯಾಕೋಬನು ಯೋಸೇಫ ನಿಗೆ ಸರ್ವಶಕ್ತನಾದ ದೇವರು ಕಾನಾನ್‌ದೇಶದ ಲೂಜ್‌ ಎಂಬಲ್ಲಿ ನನಗೆ ಕಾಣಿಸಿಕೊಂಡು ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಆಶೀರ್ವದಿಸಿದನು.
And Jacob said unto Joseph, God Almighty appeared unto me at Luz in the land of Canaan, and blessed me,
ಆತನು ನನಗೆ--ಇಗೋ, ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಅಭಿವೃದ್ಧಿಪಡಿಸಿ ಹೆಚ್ಚಿಸಿ ಜನ ಸಮೂಹವನ್ನಾಗಿ ಮಾಡಿ ನಿನ್ನ ತರುವಾಯ ಹುಟ್ಟುವ ನಿನ್ನ ಸಂತತಿಗೆ ಈ ದೇಶವನ್ನು ಶಾಶ್ವತ ಸ್ವಾಸ್ಥ್ಯವಾಗಿ ಕೊಡುತ್ತೇನೆ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದನು.
And said unto me, Behold, I will make thee fruitful, and multiply thee, and I will make of thee a multitude of people; and will give this land to thy seed after thee [for] an everlasting possession.
ಈಗ ನಾನು ನಿನ್ನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಐಗುಪ್ತಕ್ಕೆ ಬರುವ ಮೊದಲು ಐಗುಪ್ತದಲ್ಲಿ ನಿನಗೆ ಹುಟ್ಟಿದ ಇಬ್ಬರು ಕುಮಾರರಾದ ಎಫ್ರಾಯಾಮ್‌ ಮನಸ್ಸೆಯರು ನನ್ನ ವರು ಮತ್ತು ಅವರು ರೂಬೇನ್‌ ಸಿಮೆಯೋನ್‌ ಇವ ರಂತೆ ನನ್ನವರಾಗಿರಬೇಕು.
And now thy two sons, Ephraim and Manasseh, which were born unto thee in the land of Egypt before I came unto thee into Egypt, [are] mine; as Reuben and Simeon, they shall be mine.
ಆದರೆ ಅವರ ತರುವಾಯ ನಿನ್ನಿಂದ ಹುಟ್ಟುವ ಸಂತಾನವು ನಿನ್ನದಾಗಿರಲಿ. ಅವರು ತಮ್ಮ ತಮ್ಮ ಬಾಧ್ಯತೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ತಮ್ಮ ಸಹೋದರರ ಹೆಸರುಗಳ ಪ್ರಕಾರ ಕರೆಯಲ್ಪಡಲಿ.
And thy issue, which thou begettest after them, shall be thine, [and] shall be called after the name of their brethren in their inheritance.
ನಾನು ಪದ್ದನ್‌ ಅರಾಮಿನಿಂದ ಬಂದಾಗ ಕಾನಾನ್‌ದೇಶದಲ್ಲಿ ಎಫ್ರಾ ತಿಗೆ ಸ್ವಲ್ಪ ದೂರದಲ್ಲಿರುವಾಗ ರಾಹೇಲಳು ನನ್ನ ಬಳಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಸತ್ತಳು. ಅಲ್ಲಿ ಅಂದರೆ ಬೇತ್ಲೆಹೇಮೆಂಬ ಎಫ್ರಾತಿನ ಮಾರ್ಗದಲ್ಲಿ ಆಕೆಯನ್ನು ಹೂಣಿಟ್ಟೆನು ಅಂದನು.
And as for me, when I came from Padan, Rachel died by me in the land of Canaan in the way, when yet [there was] but a little way to come unto Ephrath: and I buried her there in the way of Ephrath; the same [is] Beth-lehem.
ಆಗ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲನು ಯೋಸೇಫನ ಮಕ್ಕಳನ್ನು ನೋಡಿ--ಇವರು ಯಾರು ಅಂದನು.
And Israel beheld Joseph’s sons, and said, Who [are] these?
ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಯೋಸೇಫನು ತನ್ನ ತಂದೆಗೆ--ದೇವರು ಈ ಸ್ಥಳದಲ್ಲಿ ನನಗೆ ಕೊಟ್ಟ ನನ್ನ ಕುಮಾರರು ಅಂದನು. ಆಗ ಅವನು ಅವರನ್ನು ನನ್ನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಕರಕೊಂಡು ಬಾ. ನಾನು ಅವರನ್ನು ಆಶೀರ್ವದಿಸುತ್ತೇನೆ ಅಂದನು.
And Joseph said unto his father, They [are] my sons, whom God hath given me in this [place]. And he said, Bring them, I pray thee, unto me, and I will bless them.
ಆದರೆ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲನು ಮುದುಕನಾಗಿದ್ದದರಿಂದ ಅವನ ಕಣ್ಣುಗಳು ಕಾಣದಷ್ಟು ಮೊಬ್ಬಾಗಿದ್ದವು. ಆಗ ಅವನು ಅವರನ್ನು ಯಾಕೋಬನ ಸವಿಾಪಕ್ಕೆ ತಂದಾಗ ಅವನು ಅವರನ್ನು ಮುದ್ದಿಟ್ಟು ಅಪ್ಪಿಕೊಂಡನು.
Now the eyes of Israel were dim for age, [so that] he could not see. And he brought them near unto him; and he kissed them, and embraced them.
ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲನು ಯೋಸೇಫನಿಗೆ--ನಿನ್ನ ಮುಖ ವನ್ನು ನೋಡುವೆನೆಂದು ನಾನು ನೆನಸಲಿಲ್ಲ. ಆದರೆ ಇಗೋ, ನಿನ್ನ ಸಂತಾನವನ್ನು ಸಹ ದೇವರು ನನಗೆ ನೋಡಮಾಡಿದ್ದಾನೆ ಅಂದನು.
And Israel said unto Joseph, I had not thought to see thy face: and, lo, God hath shewed me also thy seed.
ಆಗ ಯೋಸೇಫನು ಅವರನ್ನು ತನ್ನ ಮೊಣಕಾಲುಗಳ ಬಳಿಯಿಂದ ದೂರ ಮಾಡಿ ಅಡ್ಡಬಿದ್ದನು.
And Joseph brought them out from between his knees, and he bowed himself with his face to the earth.
ತರುವಾಯ ಯೋಸೇಫನು ತನ್ನ ಬಲಗಡೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲನ ಎಡಗೈಗೆ ಎದುರಾಗಿ ಎಫ್ರಾಯಾಮನನ್ನೂ ತನ್ನ ಎಡಗಡೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲನ ಬಲಗೈಗೆ ಎದುರಾಗಿ ಮನಸ್ಸೆಯನ್ನೂ ನಿಲ್ಲಿಸಿ ಅವರಿಬ್ಬರನ್ನು ತನ್ನ ತಂದೆಯ ಬಳಿಗೆ ತಂದನು.
And Joseph took them both, Ephraim in his right hand toward Israel’s left hand, and Manasseh in his left hand toward Israel’s right hand, and brought [them] near unto him.
ಆಗ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲನು ತನ್ನ ಬಲಗೈಯನ್ನು ಚಾಚಿ ಚಿಕ್ಕವನಾದ ಎಫ್ರಾಯಾಮನ ತಲೆಯ ಮೇಲೆಯೂ ತನ್ನ ಎಡಗೈಯನ್ನು ಮನಸ್ಸೆಯ ತಲೆಯ ಮೇಲೆಯೂ ಇಟ್ಟನು. ಮನಸ್ಸೆಯು ಹಿರಿಯವನಾಗಿದ್ದರೂ ಬೇಕೆಂದೇ ಅವನು ತನ್ನ ಕೈಗಳನ್ನು ಹಾಗೆ ಇಟ್ಟನು.
And Israel stretched out his right hand, and laid [it] upon Ephraim’s head, who [was] the younger, and his left hand upon Manasseh’s head, guiding his hands wittingly; for Manasseh [was] the firstborn.
ಆಗ ಅವನು ಯೋಸೇಫನನ್ನು ಆಶೀರ್ವದಿಸಿ--ನನ್ನ ತಂದೆಗಳಾದ ಅಬ್ರಹಾಮನೂ ಇಸಾಕನೂ ಯಾವಾತನ ಮುಂದೆ ನಡಕೊಂಡರೋ ಆ ದೇವರೇ, ನಾನು ಹುಟ್ಟಿದಂದಿನಿಂದ ಇಂದಿನ ವರೆಗೆ ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಪೋಷಣೆ ಮಾಡಿದ ದೇವರು,
And he blessed Joseph, and said, God, before whom my fathers Abraham and Isaac did walk, the God which fed me all my life long unto this day,
ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಕೇಡಿನಿಂದ ನನ್ನನ್ನು ತಪ್ಪಿಸಿದ ದೂತನು ಈ ಹುಡುಗರನ್ನು ಆಶೀರ್ವದಿಸಲಿ. ನನ್ನ ಹೆಸರಿನಿಂದ ನನ್ನ ತಂದೆಗಳಾದ ಅಬ್ರಹಾಮ್‌ ಇಸಾಕ್‌ ಅವರ ಹೆಸರಿನಿಂದ ಅವರು ಕರೆಯಲ್ಪಡಲಿ. ಅವರು ಭೂಮಧ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಸಮೂಹವಾಗಿ ಹೆಚ್ಚಲಿ ಅಂದನು.
The Angel which redeemed me from all evil, bless the lads; and let my name be named on them, and the name of my fathers Abraham and Isaac; and let them grow into a multitude in the midst of the earth.
ತನ್ನ ತಂದೆಯು ಎಫ್ರಾಯಾಮನ ತಲೆಯ ಮೇಲೆ ಬಲಗೈ ಇಟ್ಟದ್ದನ್ನು ಯೋಸೇಫನು ನೋಡಿದಾಗ ಅದು ಅವನ ದೃಷ್ಟಿಗೆ ಅಯುಕ್ತವಾಗಿತ್ತು. ಆದದರಿಂದ ಅವನು ತನ್ನ ತಂದೆಯ ಕೈಯನ್ನು ಹಿಡಿದು ಎಫ್ರಾಯಾಮನ ತಲೆಯ ಮೇಲಿಂದ ತೆಗೆದು ಮನಸ್ಸೆಯ ತಲೆಯ ಮೇಲೆ ಇಡುವದಕ್ಕಿದ್ದನು.
And when Joseph saw that his father laid his right hand upon the head of Ephraim, it displeased him: and he held up his father’s hand, to remove it from Ephraim’s head unto Manasseh’s head.
ಯೋಸೇಫನು ತನ್ನ ತಂದೆಗೆ--ನನ್ನ ಅಪ್ಪಾ, ಹಾಗಲ್ಲ, ಇವನೇ ಚೊಚ್ಚಲ ಮಗನು. ಇವನ ತಲೆಯ ಮೇಲೆ ಬಲಗೈ ಇಡು ಅಂದನು.
And Joseph said unto his father, Not so, my father: for this [is] the firstborn; put thy right hand upon his head.
ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಅವನ ತಂದೆಯು ಒಪ್ಪದೆ--ನನಗೆ ತಿಳಿಯಿತು, ನನ್ನ ಮಗನೇ, ನನಗೆ ತಿಳಿಯಿತು. ಅವನು ಸಹ ಜನಾಂಗವಾಗುವದಲ್ಲದೆ ಅವನು ದೊಡ್ಡವನಾ ಗುವನು. ಆದಾಗ್ಯೂ ಅವನ ತಮ್ಮನು ನಿಶ್ಚಯವಾಗಿ ಅವನಿಗಿಂತ ದೊಡ್ಡವನಾಗುವನು. ಅವನ ಸಂತ ತಿಯು ಜನಾಂಗಗಳ ಸಮೂಹವಾಗುವದು ಅಂದನು.
And his father refused, and said, I know [it], my son, I know [it:] he also shall become a people, and he also shall be great: but truly his younger brother shall be greater than he, and his seed shall become a multitude of nations.
ಹೀಗೆ ಅವನು ಅವರನ್ನು ಆ ದಿನದಲ್ಲಿ ಆಶೀರ್ವ ದಿಸಿ--ನಿನ್ನಲ್ಲಿ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲ್‌ ಆಶೀರ್ವದಿಸಲ್ಪಡು ವದು. ಎಫ್ರಾಯಾಮ್‌ ಮನಸ್ಸೆಯರ ಹಾಗೆ ದೇವರು ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಮಾಡಲೆಂದು ಹೇಳುವ ಹೇಳಿಕೆಯಾಗುವದು ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿ ಎಫ್ರಾಯಾಮನನ್ನು ಮನಸ್ಸೆಯ ಮುಂದೆ ನಿಲ್ಲಿಸಿದನು.
And he blessed them that day, saying, In thee shall Israel bless, saying, God make thee as Ephraim and as Manasseh: and he set Ephraim before Manasseh.
ಆಗ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲನು ಯೋಸೇಫನಿಗೆ--ಇಗೋ, ನಾನು ಸಾಯುತ್ತೇನೆ; ಆದರೆ ದೇವರು ನಿಮ್ಮ ಸಂಗಡವಿದ್ದು ನಿಮ್ಮನ್ನು ನಿಮ್ಮ ತಂದೆಗಳ ದೇಶಕ್ಕೆ ಮತ್ತೆ ಸೇರಿಸುವನು.ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ನಾನು ನನ್ನ ಕತ್ತಿ ಬಿಲ್ಲುಗಳಿಂದ ಅಮೋರಿಯರ ವಶದಿಂದ ತಕ್ಕೊಂಡ ಒಂದು ಪಾಲನ್ನು ನಿನ್ನ ಸಹೋದರರಿಗಿಂತ ಹೆಚ್ಚಾಗಿ ನಿನಗೆ ಕೊಟ್ಟಿದ್ದೇನೆ ಅಂದನು.
And Israel said unto Joseph, Behold, I die: but God shall be with you, and bring you again unto the land of your fathers.
ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ನಾನು ನನ್ನ ಕತ್ತಿ ಬಿಲ್ಲುಗಳಿಂದ ಅಮೋರಿಯರ ವಶದಿಂದ ತಕ್ಕೊಂಡ ಒಂದು ಪಾಲನ್ನು ನಿನ್ನ ಸಹೋದರರಿಗಿಂತ ಹೆಚ್ಚಾಗಿ ನಿನಗೆ ಕೊಟ್ಟಿದ್ದೇನೆ ಅಂದನು.
Moreover I have given to thee one portion above thy brethren, which I took out of the hand of the Amorite with my sword and with my bow.
