ಯೋಬನು ಉತ್ತರಕೊಟ್ಟು ಹೇಳಿದ್ದೇನಂದರೆ--
But Job answered and said,
ನನ್ನ ಮಾತನ್ನು ಲಕ್ಷ್ಯವಿಟ್ಟು ಕೇಳಿರಿ; ಇವು ನಿಮ್ಮ ಆದರಣೆಗಳಾಗಿರಲಿ.
Hear diligently my speech, and let this be your consolations.
ನನ್ನನ್ನು ತಾಳಿಕೊಳ್ಳಿರಿ, ನಾನು ಮಾತನಾಡುವೆನು; ನಾನು ಮಾತ ನಾಡಿದ ಮೇಲೆ ಹಾಸ್ಯ ಮಾಡಬಹುದು.
Suffer me that I may speak; and after that I have spoken, mock on.
ನಾನಾದರೆ ಮನುಷ್ಯನಿಗೆ ನನ್ನ ದೂರು ಹೇಳುವೆನೋ? ಹೇಳಿ ದರೂ ನನ್ನ ಆತ್ಮವು ಯಾಕೆ ವ್ಯಾಕುಲಪಡಬಾರದು?
As for me, [is] my complaint to man? and if [it were so], why should not my spirit be troubled?
ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಗಮನಿಸಿ ಆಶ್ಚರ್ಯಪಡಿರಿ; ಬಾಯಿಯ ಮೇಲೆ ಕೈ ಇಟ್ಟುಕೊಳ್ಳಿರಿ.
Mark me, and be astonished, and lay [your] hand upon [your] mouth.
ನಾನು ನೆನಪು ಮಾಡಿಕೊಂಡರೆ ತಲ್ಲಣ ಪಡುತ್ತೇನೆ; ನಡುಗುವಿಕೆಯು ನನ್ನ ಮಾಂಸವನ್ನು ಹಿಡಿಯುತ್ತದೆ.
Even when I remember I am afraid, and trembling taketh hold on my flesh.
ದುಷ್ಟರು ಯಾಕೆ ಬದುಕಿ ಮುದುಕರಾಗಿ ಹೌದು, ತ್ರಾಣದಿಂದ ಬಲಗೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತಾರೆ?
Wherefore do the wicked live, become old, yea, are mighty in power?
ಅವರ ಸಂತಾನದವರು ಅವರ ಮುಂದೆ ಅವರ ಸಂಗಡ ದೃಢವಾಗಿದ್ದಾರೆ; ಅವರ ಸಂತಾನದವರು ಅವರ ಕಣ್ಣು ಗಳ ಮುಂದೆ ಇದ್ದಾರೆ.
Their seed is established in their sight with them, and their offspring before their eyes.
ಅವರ ಮನೆಗಳು ಅಂಜಿಕೆ ಇಲ್ಲದೆ ಸಮಾಧಾನವಾಗಿವೆ; ದೇವರ ಕೋಲು ಅವರ ಮೇಲೆ ಇಲ್ಲ.
Their houses [are] safe from fear, neither [is] the rod of God upon them.
ಅವನ ಗೂಳಿ ಹೇಸದೆ ಬಸುರು ಮಾಡುತ್ತದೆ; ಅವನ ಆಕಳು ತಪ್ಪದೆ ಈಯುತ್ತದೆ;
Their bull gendereth, and faileth not; their cow calveth, and casteth not her calf.
ತಮ್ಮ ಚಿಕ್ಕವರನ್ನು ಮಂದೆಯ ಹಾಗೆ ಕಳುಹಿಸು ತ್ತಾರೆ; ಅವರ ಮಕ್ಕಳು ಕುಣಿದಾಡುತ್ತಾರೆ.
They send forth their little ones like a flock, and their children dance.
ದಮ್ಮಡಿ ಯಿಂದಲೂ ಕಿನ್ನರಿಯಿಂದಲೂ ಹಾಡುತ್ತಾರೆ; ಕೊಳಲಿನ ಶಬ್ದಕ್ಕೆ ಸಂತೋಷಿಸುತ್ತಾರೆ.
They take the timbrel and harp, and rejoice at the sound of the organ.
ಸಂಪತ್ತಿನಲ್ಲಿ ತಮ್ಮ ದಿವಸ ಗಳನ್ನು ಕಳೆಯುತ್ತಾರೆ; ಕ್ಷಣದಲ್ಲಿ ಪಾತಾಳಕ್ಕೆ ಇಳಿ ಯುತ್ತಾರೆ.
They spend their days in wealth, and in a moment go down to the grave.
ಅವರು ದೇವರಿಗೆ--ನಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಬಿಟ್ಟು ಹೋಗು; ನಿನ್ನ ಮಾರ್ಗಗಳ ತಿಳುವಳಿಕೆಯನ್ನು ನಾವು ಮೆಚ್ಚುವದಿಲ್ಲ.
Therefore they say unto God, Depart from us; for we desire not the knowledge of thy ways.
ನಾವು ಆತನನ್ನು ಸೇವಿಸುವ ಹಾಗೆ ಸರ್ವಶಕ್ತನು ಯಾರು? ನಾವು ಆತನಿಗೆ ಬಿನ್ನಹ ಮಾಡುವದರಲ್ಲಿ ನಮಗೆ ಪ್ರಯೋಜನವೇನು ಎಂದು ಹೇಳುತ್ತಾರೆ.
What [is] the Almighty, that we should serve him? and what profit should we have, if we pray unto him?
ಇಗೋ, ಅವರ ಸುಖವು ಅವರ ಕೈಯಲ್ಲಿ ಇಲ್ಲ; ದುಷ್ಟರ ಆಲೋಚನೆ ನನಗೆ ದೂರ ವಾಗಿದೆ.
Lo, their good [is] not in their hand: the counsel of the wicked is far from me.
ಎಷ್ಟು ಸಾರಿ ದುಷ್ಟರ ದೀಪವು ಆರಿ ಹೋಗುತ್ತದೆ; ಅವರ ನಾಶನವು ಅವರ ಮೇಲೆ ಬರುತ್ತದೆ; ದೇವರು ವೇದನೆಗಳನ್ನು ತನ್ನ ಕೋಪ ದಿಂದ ಹಂಚುತ್ತಾನೆ.
How oft is the candle of the wicked put out! and [how oft] cometh their destruction upon them! [God] distributeth sorrows in his anger.
ಅವರು ಗಾಳಿಯ ಮುಂದೆ ಇರುವ ಹುಲ್ಲಿನ ಹಾಗೆಯೂ ಬಿರುಗಾಳಿಯು ಬಡ ಕೊಂಡು ಹೋಗುವ ಹೊಟ್ಟಿನ ಹಾಗೆಯೂ ಇದ್ದಾರೆ.
They are as stubble before the wind, and as chaff that the storm carrieth away.
ದೇವರು ಅವನ ಮಕ್ಕಳಿಗೆ ಅವನ ಅಪರಾಧವನ್ನು ಇಡುತ್ತಾನೆ; ಅವನು ತಿಳುಕೊಳ್ಳುವ ಹಾಗೆ ಅವನಿಗೆ ಮುಯ್ಯಿಗೆ ಮುಯ್ಯಿ ಕೊಡುತ್ತಾನೆ.
God layeth up his iniquity for his children: he rewardeth him, and he shall know [it].
ಅವನ ಕಣ್ಣುಗಳು ಅವನ ನಾಶನವನ್ನು ನೋಡುವವು; ಸರ್ವಶಕ್ತನ ಉಗ್ರವನ್ನು ಅವನು ಕುಡಿಯುವನು.
His eyes shall see his destruction, and he shall drink of the wrath of the Almighty.
ಅವನ ಬಳಿಕ ಅವನ ತಿಂಗಳಲೆಕ್ಕ ಮಧ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಹರಿದ ಮೇಲೆ ಅವನ ಮನೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಅವನಿಗೆ ಏನು ಸಂತೋಷ?
For what pleasure [hath] he in his house after him, when the number of his months is cut off in the midst?
ದೇವರಿಗೆ ತಿಳುವಳಿಕೆಯನ್ನು ಕಲಿಸುವದುಂಟೇ? ಉನ್ನತವಾದವರಿಗೆ ಆತನೇ ನ್ಯಾಯತೀರಿಸುತ್ತಾನಲ್ಲಾ!
Shall [any] teach God knowledge? seeing he judgeth those that are high.
ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಶಾಂತವಾಗಿಯೂ ಸುಖವಾಗಿಯೂ ಇರು ವಾಗಲೇ ಒಬ್ಬನು ತನ್ನ ಬಲ ಸಂಪೂರ್ಣತ್ವದಲ್ಲಿ ಸಾಯುತ್ತಾನೆ.
One dieth in his full strength, being wholly at ease and quiet.
ಅವನ ತೊಟ್ಟಿಗಳು ಹಾಲು ತುಂಬಿ ಯವೆ, ಅವನ ಎಲುಬುಗಳು ಮಜ್ಜೆಯಿಂದ ಹಸಿ ಯಾಗಿವೆ.
His breasts are full of milk, and his bones are moistened with marrow.
ಮತ್ತೊಬ್ಬನು ಕಹಿಯಾದ ಪ್ರಾಣದಿಂದ ಸಾಯುತ್ತಾನೆ; ಅವನು ಸಂತೋಷದಲ್ಲಿ ಏನೂ ಉಣ್ಣು ವದಿಲ್ಲ.
And another dieth in the bitterness of his soul, and never eateth with pleasure.
ಧೂಳಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಮಲಗುತ್ತಾರೆ; ಹುಳಗಳು ಅವರನ್ನು ಅಡಗಿಸುತ್ತವೆ.
They shall lie down alike in the dust, and the worms shall cover them.
ಇಗೋ, ನಿಮ್ಮ ಆಲೋಚನೆಗಳನ್ನೂ ನೀವು ನನ್ನ ಮೇಲೆ ಬಲಾತ್ಕಾರಿಗಳಾಗಿ ಮಾಡುವ ಯೋಚನೆ ಗಳನ್ನೂ ತಿಳಿದಿದ್ದೇನೆ.
Behold, I know your thoughts, and the devices [which] ye wrongfully imagine against me.
ನೀವು ಅನ್ನುತ್ತೀರಿ--ಪ್ರಧಾನಿಯ ಮನೆ ಎಲ್ಲಿ? ದುಷ್ಟರ ನಿವಾಸಗಳ ಗುಡಾ ರವು ಎಲ್ಲಿ?
For ye say, Where [is] the house of the prince? and where [are] the dwelling places of the wicked?
ಮಾರ್ಗದಲ್ಲಿ ಹಾದುಹೋಗುವ ವರನ್ನು ಕೇಳಲಿಲ್ಲವೋ? ಅವರ ಗುರುತುಗಳನ್ನು ನೀವು ಗೊತ್ತುಮಾಡಲಿಲ್ಲವೋ?
Have ye not asked them that go by the way? and do ye not know their tokens,
ಆಪತ್ತಿನ ದಿವಸಕ್ಕೆ ಕೆಟ್ಟ ವನು ಇರಿಸಲ್ಪಟ್ಟಿದ್ದಾನೆ. ಉಗ್ರದ ದಿವಸಕ್ಕೆ ಹೊರಗೆ ತರಲ್ಪಡುವನು.
That the wicked is reserved to the day of destruction? they shall be brought forth to the day of wrath.
ಅವನ ಮಾರ್ಗವನ್ನು ಮುಖಾ ಮುಖಿಯಾಗಿ ಅವನಿಗೆ ತೋರಿಸಿ ಅವನು ಮಾಡಿದ್ದ ಕ್ಕೋಸ್ಕರ ಅವನಿಗೆ ಮುಯ್ಯಿಗೆಮುಯ್ಯಿ ಕೊಡುವವನು ಯಾರು?
Who shall declare his way to his face? and who shall repay him [what] he hath done?
ಅವನು ಸಮಾಧಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಒಯ್ಯಲ್ಪಡು ವನು; ಗೋರಿಯ ಮೇಲೆ ಇರುವನು.
Yet shall he be brought to the grave, and shall remain in the tomb.
ತಗ್ಗಿನ ಗಡ್ಡೆಗಳು ಅವನಿಗೆ ರಮ್ಯವಾಗಿರುವವು; ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಮನು ಷ್ಯರನ್ನು ತನ್ನ ಹಿಂದೆ ಎಳೆಯುತ್ತಾನೆ; ಅವನ ಮುಂದಿನ ವರಿಗೆ ಲೆಕ್ಕವಿಲ್ಲ.ವ್ಯರ್ಥತ್ವದಿಂದ ನೀವು ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಸಂತೈಸುವದು ಹೇಗೆ? ನಿಮ್ಮ ಉತ್ತರಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಸುಳ್ಳು ಉಳುಕೊಳ್ಳುವದು.
The clods of the valley shall be sweet unto him, and every man shall draw after him, as [there are] innumerable before him.
ವ್ಯರ್ಥತ್ವದಿಂದ ನೀವು ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಸಂತೈಸುವದು ಹೇಗೆ? ನಿಮ್ಮ ಉತ್ತರಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಸುಳ್ಳು ಉಳುಕೊಳ್ಳುವದು.
How then comfort ye me in vain, seeing in your answers there remaineth falsehood?
