ಆಗ ಕರ್ತನು ಯೋಬನಿಗೆ ಬಿರುಗಾಳಿ ಯೊಳಗಿಂದ ಉತ್ತರ ಕೊಟ್ಟು--
Then the LORD answered Job out of the whirlwind, and said,
ತಿಳು ವಳಿಕೆ ಇಲ್ಲದ ಮಾತುಗಳಿಂದ ಆಲೋಚನೆಯನ್ನು ಕತ್ತಲಾಗಿ ಮಾಡುವ ಇವನಾರು?
Who [is] this that darkeneth counsel by words without knowledge?
ಪುರುಷನ ಹಾಗೆ ನಡುವನ್ನು ಕಟ್ಟಿಕೋ; ನಾನು ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಕೇಳುವೆನು; ನೀನು ನನಗೆ ಉತ್ತರ ಕೊಡು.
Gird up now thy loins like a man; for I will demand of thee, and answer thou me.
ನಾನು ಭೂಮಿಗೆ ಅಸ್ತಿವಾರ ಹಾಕಿದಾಗ ನೀನು ಎಲ್ಲಿ ಇದ್ದಿ? ನಿನಗೆ ಗ್ರಹಿಕೆ ಇದ್ದರೆ ತಿಳಿಯಪಡಿಸು.
Where wast thou when I laid the foundations of the earth? declare, if thou hast understanding.
ನಿನಗೆ ತಿಳಿದಿದ್ದರೆ ಅದರ ಅಳತೆಗಳನ್ನು ಹಾಕಿದ ವನಾರು? ಇಲ್ಲವೆ ಅದರ ಮೇಲೆ ಗೆರೆಯನ್ನೆಳೆದವರು ಯಾರು?
Who hath laid the measures thereof, if thou knowest? or who hath stretched the line upon it?
ಯಾವದರ ಮೇಲೆ ಅದರ ಅಸ್ತಿವಾರ ಸ್ಥಿರವಾಗಿದೆ? ಇಲ್ಲವೆ ಅದರ ಮೂಲೆಗಲ್ಲನ್ನು ಇಟ್ಟವರು ಯಾರು?
Whereupon are the foundations thereof fastened? or who laid the corner stone thereof;
ಆಗ ಉದಯದ ನಕ್ಷತ್ರಗಳು ಕೂಡ ಹರ್ಷಧ್ವನಿ ಮಾಡುವಾಗ ದೇವರ ಪುತ್ರರೆಲ್ಲಾ ಉಲ್ಲಾ ಸದಿಂದ ಆರ್ಭಟಿಸಿದರು.
When the morning stars sang together, and all the sons of God shouted for joy?
ಸಮುದ್ರವು ಗರ್ಭದೊಳಗಿಂದ ಹೊರಬಂದಂತೆ, ಅದು ಬೇಧಿಸಿಕೊಂಡು ಬಂದಾಗ ಸಮುದ್ರವನ್ನು ಬಾಗಲುಗಳಿಂದ ಮುಚ್ಚಿದವನಾರು?
Or [who] shut up the sea with doors, when it brake forth, [as if] it had issued out of the womb?
ನಾನು ಅದರ ವಸ್ತ್ರವಾಗಿ ಮೇಘವನ್ನೂ ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಬಟ್ಟೆಯಾಗಿ ಅಂಧ ಕಾರವನ್ನೂ ಮಾಡಿದಾಗ
When I made the cloud the garment thereof, and thick darkness a swaddlingband for it,
ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ನನ್ನ ನೇಮವನ್ನು ನಿರ್ಣಯಿಸಿದೆನು; ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಅಗುಳಿಗಳನ್ನೂ ಬಾಗಲು ಗಳನ್ನೂ ಇಟ್ಟೆನು.
And brake up for it my decreed [place], and set bars and doors,
ಇಲ್ಲಿಯ ವರೆಗೆ ಬಂದು ಮುಂದುವರಿಯ ಕೂಡದು; ಇಲ್ಲಿ ನಿನ್ನ ತೆರೆಗಳ ಅಹಂಕಾರ ನಿಲ್ಲಲಿ ಅಂದೆನು.
And said, Hitherto shalt thou come, but no further: and here shall thy proud waves be stayed?
ನಿನ್ನ ದಿವಸಗಳಾರಭ್ಯ ಬೆಳಿಗ್ಗೆಗೆ ಅಪ್ಪಣೆ ಕೊಟ್ಟಿಯೋ?
Hast thou commanded the morning since thy days; [and] caused the dayspring to know his place;
ಅದು ಭೂಮಿಯ ಅಂಚುಗಳನ್ನು ಹಿಡಿಯುವ ಹಾಗೆಯೂ ದುಷ್ಟರು ಅದರೊಳಗಿಂದ ಝಾಡಿಸಲ್ಪಡುವ ಹಾಗೆಯೂ ಉದಯಕ್ಕೆ ಅದರ ಸ್ಥಳವನ್ನು ತಿಳಿಯಪಡಿಸಿದಿಯೋ?
That it might take hold of the ends of the earth, that the wicked might be shaken out of it?
ಮುದ್ರೆಯಿಂದ ಮಣ್ಣು ಆಗುವ ಹಾಗೆ ಅದು ಮಾರ್ಪಡುತ್ತದೆ; ವಸ್ತ್ರದ ಹಾಗೆ ಅದು ನಿಂತಿರುತ್ತದೆ.
It is turned as clay [to] the seal; and they stand as a garment.
ದುಷ್ಟರಿಂದ ಅವರ ಬೆಳಕು ಹಿಂತೆಗೆಯಲ್ಪಡುತ್ತದೆ. ಎತ್ತಿದ ತೋಳು ಮುರಿದು ಹೋಗುವದು.
And from the wicked their light is withholden, and the high arm shall be broken.
ನೀನು ಸಮುದ್ರದ ಬುಗ್ಗೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರವೇಶಿಸಿ ಇಲ್ಲವೆ ಅಗಾಧವನ್ನು ಹುಡುಕುವದರಲ್ಲಿ ನೀನು ತಿರುಗಾಡಿ ದಿಯೋ?
Hast thou entered into the springs of the sea? or hast thou walked in the search of the depth?
ನಿನಗೆ ಮರಣದ ಬಾಗಲುಗಳು ತೆರೆಯ ಲ್ಪಟ್ಟವೋ? ಇಲ್ಲವೆ ಮರಣದ ನೆರಳಿನ ಬಾಗಲುಗಳನ್ನು ನೀನು ನೋಡಿದಿಯೋ?
Have the gates of death been opened unto thee? or hast thou seen the doors of the shadow of death?
ಭೂಮಿಯ ವಿಸ್ತಾರ ಗಳವರೆಗೆ ನೀನು ಗ್ರಹಿಸಿದಿಯೋ?ಇದನ್ನೆಲ್ಲಾ ತಿಳು ಕೊಂಡರೆ ತಿಳಿಯಪಡಿಸು.
Hast thou perceived the breadth of the earth? declare if thou knowest it all.
ಬೆಳಕಿನ ನಿವಾಸಕ್ಕೆ ದಾರಿ ಯಾವದು? ಕತ್ತಲೆ ಯಾದರೋ ಅದರ ಸ್ಥಳವೆಲ್ಲಿದೆ?
Where [is] the way [where] light dwelleth? and [as for] darkness, where [is] the place thereof,
ಅದರ ಗಡಿಯ ವರೆಗೆ ಅದನ್ನು ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಳ್ಳುವಿಯೋ? ಅದರ ಮನೆಗೆ ಹೋಗುವ ಹಾದಿಗಳನ್ನು ಗ್ರಹಿಸಿದಿಯೋ?
That thou shouldest take it to the bound thereof, and that thou shouldest know the paths [to] the house thereof?
ಆಗ ಹುಟ್ಟಿದ್ದರಿಂದ ಅದು ನಿನಗೆ ತಿಳಿಯುವದೋ? ನಿನ್ನ ದಿವಸಗಳ ಲೆಕ್ಕವು ಬಹಳವಾಗಿವೆಯಲ್ಲಾ.
Knowest thou [it], because thou wast then born? or [because] the number of thy days [is] great?
ನೀನು ಹಿಮದ ಉಗ್ರಾಣಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರವೇಶಿಸಿ ದಿಯೋ? ಇಲ್ಲವೆ ಆನೇಕಲ್ಲಿನ ಉಗ್ರಾಣಗಳನ್ನು ನೋಡಿದಿಯೋ?
Hast thou entered into the treasures of the snow? or hast thou seen the treasures of the hail,
ಅವುಗಳನ್ನು ನಾನು ಇಕ್ಕಟ್ಟಿನ ಕಾಲಕ್ಕಾಗಿಯೂ ಸಮರ ಮತ್ತು ಯುದ್ಧಗಳ ದಿವಸಕ್ಕಾಗಿಯೂ ಇಟ್ಟುಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದೇನೆ.
Which I have reserved against the time of trouble, against the day of battle and war?
ಬೆಳಕು ಭಾಗವಾ ಗುವಂಥ, ಮೂಡಣ ಗಾಳಿ ಭೂಮಿಯ ಮೇಲೆ ಚದುರುವಂಥ, ಮಾರ್ಗವು ಯಾವದು?
By what way is the light parted, [which] scattereth the east wind upon the earth?
ತುಂಬಿ ಹರಿಯುವ ನೀರುಗಳನ್ನು ವಿಭಾಗ ಮಾಡಿದವರು ಯಾರು? ಜಲಕ್ಕೆ ಧಾರೆಗಳನ್ನೂ ಗುಡುಗುಗಳ ಮಿಂಚಿ ಗೆ ಮಾರ್ಗವನ್ನೂ ನೇಮಿಸಿದವನಾರು?
Who hath divided a watercourse for the overflowing of waters, or a way for the lightning of thunder;
ಅದು ಮನುಷ್ಯನಿಲ್ಲದ ಭೂಮಿಯ ಮೇಲೆಯೂ ಜನರಿಲ್ಲದ ಅರಣ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಸುರಿಯುವದು;
To cause it to rain on the earth, [where] no man [is; on] the wilderness, wherein [there is] no man;
ಹಾಳು ಬೈಲು ಗಳಿಗೆ ತೃಪ್ತಿಯನ್ನು ಉಂಟು ಮಾಡುವದು; ಪಲ್ಯಗಳ ಮೊಳಿಕೆಯನ್ನು ಮೊಳಿಸುವದು.
To satisfy the desolate and waste [ground;] and to cause the bud of the tender herb to spring forth?
ಮಳೆಗೆ ತಂದೆ ಇದ್ದಾನೋ? ಇಲ್ಲವೆ ಮಂಜಿನ ಹನಿಗಳನ್ನು ಹುಟ್ಟಿಸು ವವನಾರು?
Hath the rain a father? or who hath begotten the drops of dew?
ಯಾವನ ಹೊಟ್ಟೆಯೊಳಗಿಂದ ನೀರು ಗಡ್ಡೆ ಹೊರಡುತ್ತದೆ? ಆಕಾಶದ ಹಿಮವನ್ನು ಹುಟ್ಟಿಸಿ ದವನಾರು?
Out of whose womb came the ice? and the hoary frost of heaven, who hath gendered it?
ಕಲ್ಲಿನ ಹಾಗೆ ನೀರುಗಳು ಅಡಗುತ್ತವೆ; ಅಗಾಧದ ಮೇಲ್ಭಾಗವು ಹೆಪ್ಪುಗಟ್ಟುವದು.
The waters are hid as [with] a stone, and the face of the deep is frozen.
ನೀನು ವೃಷಭ ರಾಶಿಯ ಸಿಹಿ ಪರಿಣಾಮಗ ಳನ್ನು ಬಂಧಿಸುವಿಯೋ? ಇಲ್ಲವೆ ಮೃಗಶಿರದ ಸಂಕೋ ಲೆಗಳನ್ನು ಬಿಚ್ಚಬಲ್ಲಿಯೋ?
Canst thou bind the sweet influences of Pleiades, or loose the bands of Orion?
ನೀನು ರಾಶಿಗಳನ್ನು ಅವುಗಳ ಕಾಲದಲ್ಲಿ ಹೊರಗೆ ತರುತ್ತೀಯೋ? ಇಲ್ಲವೆ ಸಪ್ತತಾರೆಗಳನ್ನು ಅವುಗಳ ಪುತ್ರರ ಸಹಿತ ವಾಗಿ ನೀನು ನಡಿಸುತ್ತೀಯೋ?
Canst thou bring forth Mazzaroth in his season? or canst thou guide Arcturus with his sons?
ಆಕಾಶದ ಕಟ್ಟಳೆ ಗಳನ್ನು ನೀನು ತಿಳುಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತೀಯೋ? ಇಲ್ಲವೆ ಅದರ ಅಧಿಕಾರವನ್ನು ಭೂಮಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ನಿರ್ಣಯಿ ಸುತ್ತೀಯೋ?
Knowest thou the ordinances of heaven? canst thou set the dominion thereof in the earth?
ನೀರಿನ ಸಮೃದ್ಧಿಯು ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಮುಚ್ಚುವ ಹಾಗೆ ನಿನ್ನ ಶಬ್ದವನ್ನು ಮೋಡಗಳ ಕಡೆಗೆ ಎತ್ತುತ್ತೀಯೋ?
Canst thou lift up thy voice to the clouds, that abundance of waters may cover thee?
ಮಿಂಚುಗಳು ಹೋಗಿ ಇಗೋ, ಇದ್ದೇವೆಂದು ನಿನಗೆ ಹೇಳುವ ಹಾಗೆ ನೀನು ಅವುಗಳನ್ನು ಕಳುಹಿಸುತ್ತೀ ಯೋ?
Canst thou send lightnings, that they may go, and say unto thee, Here we [are]?
ಯಾವನು ಅಂತರ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಜ್ಞಾನ ಇಡು ತ್ತಾನೆ; ಇಲ್ಲವೆ ಯಾವನು ಹೃದಯಕ್ಕೆ ಗ್ರಹಿಕೆಯನ್ನು ಕೊಟ್ಟಿದ್ದಾನೆ?
Who hath put wisdom in the inward parts? or who hath given understanding to the heart?
ಯಾವನು ಮೋಡಗಳನ್ನು ಜ್ಞಾನ ದಿಂದ ಎಣಿಸುತ್ತಾನೆ;
Who can number the clouds in wisdom? or who can stay the bottles of heaven,
ದೂಳಿಯು ಗಟ್ಟಿಯಾಗುತ್ತಾ ಬರುವಾಗ ಮತ್ತು ಗಡ್ಡೆಗಳು ಒಟ್ಟಾಗಿ ಅಂಟುವಾಗ ಆಕಾಶದ ಬುದ್ಧಲಿಗಳನ್ನು ಹೊಯ್ಯುವವನಾರು?
When the dust groweth into hardness, and the clods cleave fast together?
ಸಿಂಹಕ್ಕೋಸ್ಕರ ನೀನು ಬೇಟೆಯಾಡುವಿಯೋ?
Wilt thou hunt the prey for the lion? or fill the appetite of the young lions,
ಇಲ್ಲವೆ ಅವು ಗುಹೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಕೂತುಕೊಳ್ಳುವಾಗ, ಗವಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಹೊಂಚಿ ಮಲಗಿರುವಾಗ, ಪ್ರಾಯದ ಸಿಂಹಗಳ ಆಶೆಯನ್ನು ಪೂರೈಸುವಿಯೋ?ಅದರ ಮರಿಗಳು ತಿನ್ನುವದಕ್ಕೆ ಇಲ್ಲದೆ ಅಲೆದು, ದೇವರಿಗೆ ಮೊರೆಯಿಡುವಾಗ ಕಾಗೆಗೆ ಅದರ ಆಹಾರವನ್ನು ಸಿದ್ಧಮಾಡುವವನಾರು?
When they couch in [their] dens, [and] abide in the covert to lie in wait?
ಅದರ ಮರಿಗಳು ತಿನ್ನುವದಕ್ಕೆ ಇಲ್ಲದೆ ಅಲೆದು, ದೇವರಿಗೆ ಮೊರೆಯಿಡುವಾಗ ಕಾಗೆಗೆ ಅದರ ಆಹಾರವನ್ನು ಸಿದ್ಧಮಾಡುವವನಾರು?
Who provideth for the raven his food? when his young ones cry unto God, they wander for lack of meat.
