ಆಗ ಶೂಹ್ಯನಾದ ಬಿಲ್ದದನು ಈ ಪ್ರಕಾರಉತ್ತರಿಸಿದನು--
Then answered Bildad the Shuhite, and said,
ಎಷ್ಟರ ವರೆಗೆ ನೀನು ಇವುಗಳನ್ನು ನುಡಿಯುವಿ? ಎಷ್ಟರ ವರೆಗೆ ನಿನ್ನ ಬಾಯಿಯ ಮಾತುಗಳು ಬಿರುಗಾಳಿಯಂತಿರುವವು?
How long wilt thou speak these [things]? and [how long shall] the words of thy mouth [be like] a strong wind?
ದೇವರು ಅನ್ಯಾಯವಾದ ತೀರ್ಪುಮಾಡುತ್ತಾನೋ? ಸರ್ವಶಕ್ತನು ನೀತಿಗೆ ವಿರುದ್ಧವಾದದ್ದನ್ನು ಮಾಡು ವನೋ?
Doth God pervert judgment? or doth the Almighty pervert justice?
ನಿನ್ನ ಮಕ್ಕಳು ಆತನಿಗೆ ವಿರೋಧವಾಗಿ ಪಾಪಮಾಡಿದ್ದರೆ, ಅವರ ದ್ರೋಹದ ದೆಸೆಯಿಂದ ಅವರನ್ನು ತಳ್ಳಿಬಿಡುವನು.
If thy children have sinned against him, and he have cast them away for their transgression;
ನೀನೇ ದೇವರನ್ನು ಜಾಗ್ರ ತೆಯಾಗಿ ಹುಡುಕಿ ಸರ್ವಶಕ್ತನಿಗೆ ಬಿನ್ನಹ ಮಾಡಿದರೆ
If thou wouldest seek unto God betimes, and make thy supplication to the Almighty;
ನೀನು ಶುದ್ಧನೂ ಯಥಾರ್ಥನೂ ಆಗಿದ್ದರೆ ನಿಶ್ಚಯ ವಾಗಿ ಈಗಲೇ ಆತನು ನಿನಗೋಸ್ಕರ ಎಚ್ಚತ್ತು ನಿನ್ನ ನೀತಿಯ ನಿವಾಸವನ್ನು ಅಭಿವೃದ್ಧಿಗೊಳಿಸುವನು.
If thou [wert] pure and upright; surely now he would awake for thee, and make the habitation of thy righteousness prosperous.
ನಿನ್ನ ಆರಂಭವು ಅಲ್ಪವಾಗಿದ್ದರೂ ನಿನ್ನ ಅಂತ್ಯವು ಬಹಳವಾಗಿ ವೃದ್ಧಿಹೊಂದುವದು.
Though thy beginning was small, yet thy latter end should greatly increase.
ದಯಮಾಡಿ ಪೂರ್ವಿಕರನ್ನು ವಿಚಾರಿಸು; ಅವರ ಪಿತೃಗಳು ಕಂಡುಕೊಂಡದನ್ನು ಗಮನಿಸು.
For enquire, I pray thee, of the former age, and prepare thyself to the search of their fathers:
ನಾವು ನಿನ್ನೆ ಹುಟ್ಟಿದವರೂ ಏನೂ ಅರಿಯವದವರೂ ಆಗಿ ದ್ದೇವೆ; ನಮ್ಮ ದಿವಸಗಳು ಭೂಮಿಯ ಮೇಲೆ ನೆರಳಿ ನಂತಿವೆ.
(For we [are but of] yesterday, and know nothing, because our days upon earth [are] a shadow:)
ಅವರು ನಿನಗೆ ಬೋಧಿಸುವದಿಲ್ಲವೋ? ನಿನ್ನೊಂದಿಗೆ ಮಾತನಾಡುವದಿಲ್ಲವೋ? ತಮ್ಮ ಮಾತು ಗಳನ್ನು ಹೃದಯದೊಳಗಿಂದ ಹೊರತರುವದಿಲ್ಲವೋ?
Shall not they teach thee, [and] tell thee, and utter words out of their heart?
ಕೆಸರಿಲ್ಲದೆ ಆಪು ಬೆಳೆಯುವದೋ? ನೀರಿಲ್ಲದೆ ಜಂಬು ಬೆಳೆಯುವದೋ?
Can the rush grow up without mire? can the flag grow without water?
ಅದು ಹಸುರಾಗಿ ಇನ್ನೂ ಕೊಯ್ಯದೆ ಇದ್ದಾಗಲೂ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಹುಲ್ಲಿಗಿಂತಲೂ ಅದು ಮೊದಲು ಬಾಡುವದು.
Whilst it [is] yet in his greenness, [and] not cut down, it withereth before any [other] herb.
ದೇವರನ್ನು ಮರೆಯುವ ವರೆಲ್ಲರ ಹಾದಿಗಳು ಹಾಗೆಯೇ; ಕಪಟಿಯ ನಿರೀಕ್ಷೆಯು ನಾಶವಾಗುವದು.
So [are] the paths of all that forget God; and the hypocrite’s hope shall perish:
ಅವನ ನಿರೀಕ್ಷೆಯು ಕತ್ತರಿಸಲ್ಪಡುತ್ತದೆ; ಅವನ ಭರವಸವು ಜೇಡರ ಹುಳದ ಮನೆಯೇ.
Whose hope shall be cut off, and whose trust [shall be] a spider’s web.
ಅವನು ತನ್ನ ಮನೆಗೆ ಆತುಕೊಂಡರೆ ಅದು ನಿಲ್ಲದು; ಅದನ್ನು ಬಿಗಿ ಹಿಡಿದರೆ ಅದು ತಡೆಯಲಾರದು.
He shall lean upon his house, but it shall not stand: he shall hold it fast, but it shall not endure.
ಸೂರ್ಯನ ಮುಂದೆ ಅವನು ಹಸುರಾಗಿದ್ದಾನೆ; ಅವನ ಬಳ್ಳಿಯು ಅವನ ತೋಟದಲ್ಲಿ ಹಬ್ಬುವದು.
He [is] green before the sun, and his branch shooteth forth in his garden.
ಅವನ ಬೇರುಗಳು ರಾಶಿಯ ಮೇಲೆ ಸುತ್ತಿ ಕಲ್ಲಿನ ಸ್ಥಳವನ್ನು ಕಾಣುತ್ತವೆ.
His roots are wrapped about the heap, [and] seeth the place of stones.
ಅವನನ್ನು ಅವನ ಸ್ಥಳದಿಂದ ಕಿತ್ತಿದರೆ ಅದು--ನಾನು ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ನೋಡಲಿಲ್ಲವೆಂದು ಅವನನ್ನು ಬೊಂಕುವದು;
If he destroy him from his place, then [it] shall deny him, [saying], I have not seen thee.
ಇಗೋ, ಇದು ಅವನ ಮಾರ್ಗದ ಆನಂದವು. ಆದರೆ ಭೂಮಿಯೊಳಗಿನಿಂದ ಬೇರೆಯವರು ಮೊಳೆಯುವರು.
Behold, this [is] the joy of his way, and out of the earth shall others grow.
ಇಗೋ, ದೇವರು ಪರಿಶುದ್ಧನನ್ನು ತಿರಸ್ಕರಿಸು ವದಿಲ್ಲ; ಕೆಡುಕರಿಗೆ ಆತನು ಸಹಾಯ ಮಾಡುವದಿಲ್ಲ.
Behold, God will not cast away a perfect [man], neither will he help the evil doers:
ಇನ್ನು ಆತನು ನಿನ್ನ ಬಾಯನ್ನು ನಗೆಯಿಂದ, ನಿನ್ನ ತುಟಿಗಳನ್ನು ಜಯಧ್ವನಿಯಿಂದ ತುಂಬಿಸುವನು.ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಹಗೆ ಮಾಡುವವರು ನಾಚಿಕೆಯನ್ನು ಧರಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವರು; ದುಷ್ಟರ ವಾಸಸ್ಥಳವು ಇಲ್ಲದೆ ಹೋಗುವದು.
Till he fill thy mouth with laughing, and thy lips with rejoicing.
ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಹಗೆ ಮಾಡುವವರು ನಾಚಿಕೆಯನ್ನು ಧರಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವರು; ದುಷ್ಟರ ವಾಸಸ್ಥಳವು ಇಲ್ಲದೆ ಹೋಗುವದು.
They that hate thee shall be clothed with shame; and the dwelling place of the wicked shall come to nought.
