1. 8ಅಲ್ಲಿಂದ ಪೆನೂವೇ ಲಿಗೆ ಹೋಗಿ ಆ ಊರಿನವರ ಸಂಗಡ ಆ ಪ್ರಕಾರವೇ ಮಾತನಾಡಿದನು. ಅವರು ಸುಖೋತಿನ ಮನುಷ್ಯರು ಪ್ರತ್ಯುತ್ತರಕೊಟ್ಟ ಹಾಗೆಯೇ ಪ್ರತ್ಯುತ್ತರಕೊಟ್ಟರು.
2. 9ಆಗ ಅವನು ಪೆನೂವೇಲಿನ ಮನುಷ್ಯರಿಗೆ ಸಹ--ನಾನು ಸಮಾಧಾನವಾಗಿ ತಿರಿಗಿ ಬರುವಾಗ ಈ ಗೋಪು ರವನ್ನು ಕೆಡವಿಬಿಡುವೆನು ಅಂದನು.
3. 10ಆದರೆ ಜೆಬಹನೂ ಚಲ್ಮುನ್ನನೂ ತಮ್ಮ ಸೈನ್ಯವಾದ ಹೆಚ್ಚುಕಡಿಮೆ ಹದಿನೈದು ಸಾವಿರ ಜನರ ಸಂಗಡ ಕರ್ಕೋರಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಇದ್ದರು. ಇವರೆಲ್ಲಾ ಕತ್ತಿ ಹಿಡಿಯತಕ್ಕ ಲಕ್ಷದ ಇಪ್ಪತ್ತು ಸಾವಿರ ಜನ ಬಿದ್ದುಹೋದಾಗ ಮೂಡಣದ ಸಮಸ್ತ ಮಕ್ಕಳು ಅಲ್ಲಿ ಉಳಿದರು.
4. 11ಗಿದ್ಯೋನನು ನೋಬಹ, ಯೊಗ್ಬೆಹಾ ಇವುಗಳ ಮೂಡಣದಲ್ಲಿದ್ದ ಡೇರೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ವಾಸಿಸಿರುವವರ ಮಾರ್ಗವಾಗಿ ಹೋಗಿ ಆ ದಂಡನ್ನು ಹೊಡೆದು ಬಿಟ್ಟನು. ಯಾಕಂದರೆ ಆ ದಂಡು ಭದ್ರವಾಗಿತ್ತು.
5. 12ಜೆಬಹನೂ ಚಲ್ಮುನ್ನನೂ ಓಡಿಹೋದದರಿಂದ ಅವನು ಮಿದ್ಯಾನ್ಯರ ಇಬ್ಬರು ಅರಸುಗಳಾದ ಜೆಬಹ ನನ್ನೂ ಚಲ್ಮುನ್ನನನ್ನೂ ಹಿಂದಟ್ಟಿ ಹಿಡಿದು ದಂಡನ್ನೆಲ್ಲಾ ಚದರಿಸಿಬಿಟ್ಟರು.
