ಯಾಕಂದರೆ ರಕ್ತವೇ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಶರೀರಗಳ ಜೀವವಾಗಿದೆ; ಅದಕ್ಕಿರುವ ರಕ್ತವು ಅದರ ಜೀವಕ್ಕಾಗಿಯೇ ಇದೆ; ಆದದರಿಂದ ನಾನು ಇಸ್ರಾ ಯೇಲ್‌ ಮಕ್ಕಳಿಗೆ--ನೀವು ಯಾವ ಬಗೆಯ ಶರೀರದ ರಕ್ತವನ್ನೂ ತಿನ್ನಬಾರದೆಂದು ಹೇಳಿದ್ದೇನೆ. ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಶರೀರಗಳ ಜೀವವು ರಕ್ತದಲ್ಲಿಯೇ ಇದೆ; ಇದನ್ನು ತಿನ್ನುವ ಯಾವನಾದರೂ ತೆಗೆದುಹಾಕಲ್ಪಡಬೇಕು.

- 15ನಿಮ್ಮ ದೇಶದವನಾಗಲಿ ಪರಕೀಯನಾಗಲಿ ತನ್ನ ಷ್ಟಕ್ಕೆ ತಾನೇ ಸತ್ತುಹೋದದ್ದನ್ನು ಇಲ್ಲವೆ ಮೃಗಗಳಿಂದ ಹರಿಯಲ್ಪಟ್ಟಿರುವದನ್ನು ತಿನ್ನುವ ಪ್ರತಿಯೊಬ್ಬನು ತನ್ನ ಬಟ್ಟೆಗಳನ್ನು ಒಗೆದುಕೊಂಡು ನೀರಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಸ್ನಾನಮಾಡ ಬೇಕು. ಸಾಯಂಕಾಲದ ವರೆಗೆ ಅವನು ಅಶುದ್ಧನಾಗಿರ ಬೇಕು, ತರುವಾಯ ಅವನು ಶುದ್ಧನಾಗಿರುವನು.ಆದರೆ ಅವನು ಅವುಗಳನ್ನು ಒಗೆದುಕೊಳ್ಳದೆ ಇದ್ದರೆ ಇಲ್ಲವೆ ತಾನು ಸ್ನಾನಮಾಡದಿದ್ದರೆ ತನ್ನ ಅಪರಾಧವನ್ನು ತಾನೇ ಹೊತ್ತುಕೊಳ್ಳಬೇಕು.
