3. 5ആകയാൽ ഞാൻ അതിന്നു തക്കവണ്ണം വട്ടംകൂട്ടും എന്നു ദാവീദ് പറഞ്ഞു. അങ്ങനെ ദാവീദ് തന്റെ മരണത്തിന്നു മുമ്പെ ധാരാളം വട്ടംകൂട്ടി.
4. 6അവൻ തന്റെ മകനായ ശലോമോനെ വിളിച്ചു യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവെക്കു ഒരു ആലയം പണിവാൻ കല്പന കൊടുത്തു.
5. 7ദാവീദ് ശലോമോനോടു പറഞ്ഞതു: മകനേ, ഞാൻ തന്നേ എന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവയുടെ നാമത്തിന്നു ഒരു ആലയം പണിവാൻ താല്പര്യപ്പെട്ടിരുന്നു.
