അങ്ങനെ അവൻ പോയി യഹോവയുടെ കല്പനപ്രകാരം ചെയ്തു; അവൻ ചെന്നു യോർദ്ദാന്നു കിഴക്കുള്ള കെരീത്ത് തോട്ടിന്നരികെ പാർത്തു.

- 6കാക്ക അവന്നു രാവിലെ അപ്പവും ഇറച്ചിയും വൈകുന്നേരത്തു അപ്പവും ഇറച്ചിയും കൊണ്ടുവന്നു കൊടുക്കും; തോട്ടിൽനിന്നു അവൻ കുടിക്കും.
- 7എന്നാൽ ദേശത്തു മഴ പെയ്യായ്കയാൽ കുറെ ദിവസം കഴിഞ്ഞശേഷം തോടു വറ്റിപ്പോയി.
