അപ്പോൾ തങ്ങളിൽ ചില പുരുഷന്മാരെ തിരഞ്ഞെടുത്തു പൗലൊസിനോടും ബർന്നബാസിനോടും കൂടെ അന്ത്യൊക്ക്യയിലേക്കു അയക്കേണം എന്നു അപ്പൊസ്തലന്മാരും മൂപ്പന്മാരും സർവ്വസഭയും നിർണ്ണയിച്ചു, സഹോദരന്മാരിൽ പ്രമാണപ്പെട്ട പുരുഷന്മാരായ ബർശബാസ് എന്ന യൂദയെയും ശീലാസിനെയും നിയോഗിച്ചു.

23അവരുടെ കൈവശം എഴുതി അയച്ചതെന്തെന്നാൽ: അപ്പൊസ്തലന്മാരും മൂപ്പന്മാരായ സഹോദരന്മാരും അന്ത്യൊക്ക്യയിലും സൂറിയയിലും കിലിക്ക്യയിലും ജാതികളിൽ നിന്നു ചേർന്ന സഹോദരന്മാർക്കു വന്ദനം.
24ഞങ്ങൾ കല്പന കൊടുക്കാതെ ചിലർ ഞങ്ങളുടെ ഇടയിൽനിന്നു പുറപ്പെട്ടു നിങ്ങളെ വാക്കുകളാൽ ഭ്രമിപ്പിച്ചു നിങ്ങളുടെ ഹൃദയങ്ങളെ കലക്കിക്കളഞ്ഞു എന്നു കേൾക്കകൊണ്ടു
