27സഹസ്രാധിപൻ വന്നു: നീ റോമപൗരൻ തന്നേയോ? എന്നോടു പറക എന്നു ചോദിച്ചതിന്നു:
28അതെ എന്നു അവൻ പറഞ്ഞു. ഞാൻ ഏറിയ മുതൽ കൊടുത്തു ഈ പൗരത്വം സമ്പാദിച്ചു എന്നു സഹസ്രാധിപൻ പറഞ്ഞതിന്നു: ഞാനോ അങ്ങനെ ജനിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നു പൗലൊസ് പറഞ്ഞു.
29ഭേദ്യം ചെയ്‌വാൻ ഭാവിച്ചവർ ഉടനെ അവനെ വിട്ടുമാറി; സഹസ്രാധിപനും അവൻ റോമപൗരൻ എന്നു അറിഞ്ഞപ്പോൾ അവനെ ബന്ധിച്ചതുകൊണ്ടു ഭയപ്പെട്ടു.
