അതെ എന്നു അവൻ പറഞ്ഞു. ഞാൻ ഏറിയ മുതൽ കൊടുത്തു ഈ പൗരത്വം സമ്പാദിച്ചു എന്നു സഹസ്രാധിപൻ പറഞ്ഞതിന്നു: ഞാനോ അങ്ങനെ ജനിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നു പൗലൊസ് പറഞ്ഞു.

29ഭേദ്യം ചെയ്‌വാൻ ഭാവിച്ചവർ ഉടനെ അവനെ വിട്ടുമാറി; സഹസ്രാധിപനും അവൻ റോമപൗരൻ എന്നു അറിഞ്ഞപ്പോൾ അവനെ ബന്ധിച്ചതുകൊണ്ടു ഭയപ്പെട്ടു.
30പിറ്റെന്നു യെഹൂദന്മാർ പൗലൊസിന്മേൽ ചുമത്തുന്ന കുറ്റത്തിന്റെ സൂക്ഷ്മം അറിവാൻ ഇച്ഛിച്ചിട്ടു അവൻ മഹാപുരോഹിതന്മാരും ന്യായാധിപസംഘം ഒക്കെയും കൂടി വരുവാൻ കല്പിച്ചു അവനെ കെട്ടഴിച്ചു താഴെ കൊണ്ടുചെന്നു അവരുടെ മുമ്പിൽ നിറുത്തി.
