അമോര്യർ ദാൻമക്കളെ തിക്കിത്തള്ളി മലനാട്ടിൽ കയറ്റി; താഴ്‌വരയിലേക്കു ഇറങ്ങുവാൻ അവരെ സമ്മതിച്ചതുമില്ല.

- 35അങ്ങനെ അമോര്യർക്കു ഹർഹേരെസിലും അയ്യാലോനിലും ശാൽബീമിലും പാർപ്പാനുള്ള താല്പര്യം സാധിച്ചു. എന്നാൽ യോസേഫിന്റെ ഗൃഹത്തിന്നു ബലംകൂടിയപ്പോൾ അവരെ ഊഴിയ വേലക്കാരാക്കിത്തീർത്തു.
- 36അമോര്യരുടെ അതിർ അക്രബ്ബിംകയറ്റവും സേലയും മുതൽ പിന്നെയും മേലോട്ടുണ്ടായിരുന്നു.
