അങ്ങനെ അമോര്യർക്കു ഹർഹേരെസിലും അയ്യാലോനിലും ശാൽബീമിലും പാർപ്പാനുള്ള താല്പര്യം സാധിച്ചു. എന്നാൽ യോസേഫിന്റെ ഗൃഹത്തിന്നു ബലംകൂടിയപ്പോൾ അവരെ ഊഴിയ വേലക്കാരാക്കിത്തീർത്തു.
