അന്നു ഗിബെയാനിവാസികളിൽ എണ്ണിത്തിരിച്ച എഴുനൂറു വിരുതന്മാരെ കൂടാതെ പട്ടണങ്ങളിൽനിന്നു വന്ന ബെന്യാമീന്യർ ഇരുപത്താറയിരം ആയുധപാണികൾ ഉണ്ടെന്നു എണ്ണം കണ്ടു.

16ഈ ജനത്തിലെല്ലാം ഇടത്തു കയ്യന്മാരായ എഴുനൂറു വിരുതന്മാർ ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു; അവർ എല്ലാവരും ഒരു രോമത്തിന്നുപോലും ഏറുപിഴെക്കാത്ത കവിണക്കാർ ആയിരുന്നു.
17ബെന്യാമീൻ ഒഴികെയുള്ള യിസ്രായേല്യരോ നാലുലക്ഷം ആയുധപാണികൾ ആയിരുന്നു; അവർ എല്ലാവരും യോദ്ധാക്കൾ തന്നേ.
