എന്നാൽ പുനരുത്ഥാനത്തിൽ അവൾ ഏഴുവരിൽ ആർക്കു ഭാര്യയാകും? എല്ലാവർക്കും ആയിരുന്നുവല്ലോ എന്നു ചോദിച്ചു.

26രണ്ടാമത്തവനും മൂന്നാമത്തവനും ഏഴാമത്തവൻ വരെയും അങ്ങനെ തന്നേ.
27എല്ലാവരും കഴിഞ്ഞിട്ടു ഒടുവിൽ സ്ത്രീയും മരിച്ചു.
28എന്നാൽ പുനരുത്ഥാനത്തിൽ അവൾ ഏഴുവരിൽ ആർക്കു ഭാര്യയാകും? എല്ലാവർക്കും ആയിരുന്നുവല്ലോ എന്നു ചോദിച്ചു.
29അതിന്നു യേശു ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞതു: നിങ്ങൾ തിരുവെഴുത്തുകളെയും ദൈവശക്തിയെയും അറിയായ്കകൊണ്ടു തെറ്റിപ്പോകുന്നു.
30പുനരുത്ഥാനത്തിൽ അവർ വിവാഹം കഴിക്കുന്നില്ല, വിവാഹത്തിന്നു കൊടുക്കപ്പെടുന്നതുമില്ല; സ്വർഗ്ഗത്തിലെ ദൂതന്മാരെപ്പോലെ അത്രേ ആകുന്നു.
