సిరియనుల బలమునకు నేను నిలువ లేకపోయినయెడల నీవు నాకు సహాయము చేయవలెను, అమ్మోనీయుల బలమునకు నీవు నిలువలేకపోయినయెడల నేను నీకు సహాయము చేయుదును.

- 14ఆ ప్రకారము యోవాబును అతనితో కూడ నున్న జనమును సిరియనులతో యుద్ధము కలుపుటకై చేరపోగా వారు నిలువ లేక అతని యెదుటనుండి తిరిగి పారిపోయిరి.
