నీ దాసుడనైన నాకు ఒక ఉపకారము చేయవలెను; ఏమనగా యెహోవా పేరట నీతో నిబంధన చేయుటకై నీవు నీ దాసుడనైన నన్ను రప్పించితివి; నాయందు దోషమేమైన ఉండిన యెడల నీ తండ్రియొద్దకు నన్నెందుకు తోడుకొని పోదువు? నీవే నన్ను చంపుమని యోనాతానునొద్ద మనవి చేయగా

- 9యోనాతానుఆ మాట ఎన్నటికిని అనరాదు; నా తండ్రి నీకు కీడుచేయ నుద్దేశము గలిగియున్నాడని నాకు నిశ్చయమైతే నీతో తెలియజెప్పుదును గదా అని అనగా
- 10దావీదునీ తండ్రి నన్నుగూర్చి నీతో కఠినముగా మాటలాడినయెడల దాని నాకు తెలియజేయువారెవరని యోనాతాను నడిగెను.
