2ఆ కాలమందు ఏలీ కన్నులు మంద దృష్టి గలవైనందున అతడు చూడలేక తనస్థలమందు పండు కొనియుండగాను
3దీపము ఆరిపోకమునుపు సమూయేలు దేవుని మందసమున్న యెహోవా మందిరములో పండు కొనియుండగాను
4యెహోవా సమూయేలును పిలిచెను. అతడుచిత్తమండి నేనున్నానని చెప్పి
5ఏలీదగ్గరకు పోయినీవు నన్ను పిలిచితివి గదా నేను వచ్చినాననెను. అతడునేను పిలువలేదు, పోయి పండుకొమ్మని చెప్పగా అతడు పోయి పండుకొనెను.
6యెహోవా మరల సమూ యేలును పిలువగా సమూయేలు లేచి ఏలీయొద్దకు పోయిచిత్తము నీవు నన్ను పిలిచితివి గనుక వచ్చితిననెను. అయితే అతడు నా కుమారుడా, నేను నిన్ను పిలువలేదు, పోయి పండుకొమ్మనెను.
