వారతని పొడిచి చంపి అతని తలను ఛేదించి దానిని తీసికొని రాత్రి అంతయు మైదాన ములో బడి ప్రయాణమైపోయి హెబ్రోనులోనున్న దావీదునొద్దకు ఇష్బోషెతు తలను తీసికొనివచ్చిచిత్త గించుము;

6గోధుమలు తెచ్చెదమని వేషము వేసికొని వారు ఇంటిలో చొచ్చి, ఇష్బోషెతు పడకటింట మంచము మీద పరుండియుండగా అతనిని కడుపులో పొడిచి తప్పించుకొనిపోయిరి.

8నీ ప్రాణము తీయచూచిన సౌలుకుమారుడైన ఇష్బోషెతు తలను మేము తెచ్చియున్నాము; ఈ దినమున యెహోవా మా యేలినవాడవును రాజవునగు నీ పక్షమున సౌలుకును అతని సంతతికిని ప్రతికారము చేసి యున్నాడని చెప్పగా
9దావీదు బెయేరోతీయుడగు రిమ్మోను కుమారులైన రేకాబుతోను బయనాతోను ఇట్లనెను
