మనల నెదుర్కొనుటకు పొలములో నడుచుచున్న ఆ మనుష్యుడెవరని దాసుని నడుగగా అతడు ఇతడు నా యజమానుడని చెప్పెను గనుక ఆమె ముసుకు వేసికొనెను.

- 67ఇస్సాకు తల్లియైన శారా గుడారము లోనికి ఆమెను తీసికొని పోయెను. అట్లు అతడు రిబ్కాను పరిగ్రహింపగా ఆమె అతనికి భార్య ఆయెను; అతడు ఆమెను ప్రేమించెను. అప్పుడు ఇస్సాకు తన తల్లి విషయమై దుఃఖనివారణ పొందెను.
