16ఆ పక్షమందు మీ మాట కొప్పుకొని, మా పిల్లలను మీకిచ్చి మీ పిల్లలను మేము పుచ్చుకొని, మీ మధ్య నివసించెదము, అప్పుడు మనము ఏకజనమగుదుము.
17మీరు మా మాట విని సున్నతి పొందని యెడల మా పిల్లను తీసికొని పోవుదుమని చెప్పగా
18వారి మాటలు హమోరుకును హమోరు కుమారుడైన షెకెముకును ఇష్టముగా నుండెను.
19ఆ చిన్నవాడు యాకోబు కుమార్తెయందు ప్రీతిగలవాడు గనుక అతడు ఆ కార్యము చేయుటకు తడవుచేయలేదు. అతడు తన తండ్రి యింటి వారందరిలో ఘనుడు
