2తెల్లవారగానే యేసు తిరిగి దేవాలయములోనికి రాగా ప్రజలందరు ఆయన యొద్దకు వచ్చిరి గనుక ఆయన కూర్చుండి వారికి బోధించు చుండెను.
3శాస్త్రులును పరిసయ్యులును, వ్యభిచారమందు పట్టబడిన యొక స్త్రీని తోడు కొనివచ్చి ఆమెను మధ్య నిలువబెట్టి
4బోధకుడా, యీ స్త్రీ వ్యభిచారము చేయుచుండగా పట్టబడెను;
5అట్టివారిని రాళ్లు రువి్వ చంపవలెనని ధర్మశాస్త్రములో మోషే మన కాజ్ఞాపించెను గదా; అయినను నీవేమి చెప్పుచున్నావని ఆయన నడిగిరి.
6ఆయనమీద నేరము మోపవలెనని ఆయనను శోధించుచు ఈలాగున అడిగిరి. అయితే యేసు వంగి, నేలమీద వ్రేలితో ఏమో వ్రాయుచుండెను.
