యేసు ఎవరోయని చూడగోరెనుగాని, పొట్టి వాడైనందున జనులు గుంపుకూడి యుండుట వలన చూడ లేకపోయెను.

King James Version (KJV): And he sought to see Jesus who he was; and could not for the press, because he was little of stature.

4అప్పుడు యేసు ఆ త్రోవను రానై యుండెను గనుక అతడు ముందుగా పరుగెత్తి, ఆయనను చూచుటకు ఒక మేడి చెట్టెక్కెను.
5యేసు ఆ చోటికి వచ్చినప్పుడు, కన్నులెత్తి చూచి జక్కయ్యా త్వరగా దిగుము, నేడు నేను నీ యింట నుండవలసియున్నదని అతనితో చెప్పగా
