అందుకు యేసు ప్రవక్త తన దేశము లోను తన బంధువులలోను తన యింటివారిలోను తప్ప మరి ఎక్కడను ఘనహీనుడు కాడని చెప్పెను.
Anduku yesu pravakta tana deshamu lonu tana bandhuvulalonu tana yintivaarilonu tappa mari ekkadanu ghanaheenudu kaadani cheppenu.

- 2విశ్రాంతి దినము వచ్చినప్పుడు ఆయన సమాజమందిరములో బోధింపనారంభించెను. అనేకులు ఆయన బోధ విని ఆశ్చర్యపడి ఈ సంగతులు ఇతనికి ఎక్కడనుండి వచ్చెను? ఇతనికియ్యబడిన ఈ జ్ఞానమెట్టిది? ఇతని చేతుల వలన ఇట్టి అద్భుతములు చేయబడుచున్నవి? ఇదేమి?
- 3ఇతడు మరియ కుమారుడు కాడా? ఇతడు యాకోబు, యోసే, యూదా, సీమోను అనువారి సహోదరుడగు వడ్లవాడు కాడా? ఇతని సోదరీమణులందరు మనతో నున్నారు కారా? అని చెప్పు కొనుచు ఆయన విషయమై అభ్యంతరపడిరి.

- 5అందు వలన కొద్దిమంది రోగులమీద చేతులుంచి వారిని స్వస్థ పరచుట తప్ప మరి ఏ అద్భుతమును ఆయన అక్కడ చేయజాలకపోయెను. ఆయన వారి అవిశ్వాసమునకు ఆశ్చర్యపడెను.
- 6ఆయన చుట్టుపట్లనున్న గ్రామములు తిరుగుచు బోధించుచుండెను.
