ಯುದ್ಧವು ತನಗೆ ವಿರೋಧವಾಗಿ ಹಿಂದೆಯೂ ಮುಂದೆಯೂ ಇರುವದನ್ನು ಯೋವಾ ಬನು ಕಂಡಾಗ ಅವನು ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಆಯಲ್ಪಟ್ಟ ಸಮಸ್ತರೊಳಗೆ ಜನರನ್ನು ಆದುಕೊಂಡು ಅವರನ್ನು ಅರಾಮ್ಯರಿಗೆದುರಾಗಿ ವ್ಯೂಹ ಕಟ್ಟಿದನು.

- 11ಆದರೆ ಮಿಕ್ಕಾದವರು ಅಮ್ಮೋನಿಯರಿಗೆದುರಾಗಿ ವ್ಯೂಹಕಟ್ಟುವ ಹಾಗೆ ಅವರನ್ನು ತನ್ನ ಸಹೋದರನಾದ ಅಬ್ಷೈನ ಕೈಯಲ್ಲಿ ಒಪ್ಪಿಸಿಕೊಟ್ಟು ಅವನಿಗೆ--
- 12ಅರಾಮ್ಯರು ನನಗಿಂತ ಬಲವುಳ್ಳವರಾಗಿದ್ದರೆ ನೀನು ನನಗೆ ಸಹಾಯ ಮಾಡಬೇಕು; ಅಮ್ಮೋನಿಯರು ನಿನಗಿಂತ ಬಲವುಳ್ಳ ವರಾಗಿದ್ದರೆ, ನಾನು ನಿನಗೆ ಸಹಾಯ ಮಾಡುವೆನು,
