2. 6ಅಮ್ಮೋನಿಯರು, ತಾವು ದಾವೀದನಿಗೆ ಅಸಹ್ಯರಾ ದೆವೆಂದು ಕಂಡಾಗ ಹಾನೂನನೂ ಅಮ್ಮೋನಿಯರೂ ಅರಾಮಿನಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಅರಾಮ್‌ ಮಾಕದಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಚೋಬಾದಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ರಥಗಳನ್ನೂ ರಾಹುತರನ್ನೂ ಕೂಲಿಗೆ ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಳ್ಳಲು ಸಾವಿರ ಬೆಳ್ಳಿ ತಲಾಂತುಗಳನ್ನು ಕಳುಹಿಸಿದರು.
3. 7ಹೀಗೆಯೇ ಅವರು ಮೂವತ್ತೆರಡು ಸಾವಿರ ರಥಗಳನ್ನೂ ಮಾಕದ ಅರಸನನ್ನೂ ಅವನ ಜನರನ್ನೂ ಕೂಲಿಗೆ ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಂಡರು. ಇವರು ಬಂದು ಮೇದೆಬ ಬಳಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ದಂಡಿಳಿದರು. ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ಅಮ್ಮೋ ನಿಯರು ತಮ್ಮ ಪಟ್ಟಣಗಳಿಂದ ಕೂಡಿಕೊಂಡು ಯುದ್ಥಕ್ಕೆ ಬಂದರು.
4. 8ದಾವೀದನು ಇದನ್ನು ಕೇಳಿದಾಗ ಅವನು ಯೋವಾ ಬನನ್ನೂ ಸಮಸ್ತ ಪರಾಕ್ರಮಶಾಲಿಗಳ ಸೈನ್ಯವನ್ನೂ ಕಳುಹಿಸಿದನು.
5. 9ಆಗ ಅಮ್ಮೋನಿಯರು ಹೊರಟು ಪಟ್ಟಣದ ಬಾಗಿಲ ದ್ವಾರದ ಹತ್ತಿರ ವ್ಯೂಹಕಟ್ಟಿದರು. ಆದರೆ ಬಂದ ಅರಸುಗಳು ಬೇರೆಯಾಗಿ ಹೊಲದಲ್ಲಿ ನಿಂತಿದ್ದರು.
