ಎಫ್ರಾಯಾಮು ನಡುಗುತ್ತಾ ಮಾತನಾಡಿದಾಗ ಅವನು ತನ್ನನ್ನು ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಹೆಚ್ಚಿಸಿಕೊಂಡನು; ಆದರೆ ಬಾಳನ ವಿಷಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಅವನು ಅಪರಾಧಿಯಾದ ಮೇಲೆ ಸತ್ತನು.

Ephraayaamu naduguttaa maatanaadidaaga avanu tannannu israayelinalli hechchisikondanu; aadare baalana vishayadalli avanu aparaadhiyaada mele sattanu.

1ಎಫ್ರಾಯಾಮು ನಡುಗುತ್ತಾ ಮಾತನಾಡಿದಾಗ ಅವನು ತನ್ನನ್ನು ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಹೆಚ್ಚಿಸಿಕೊಂಡನು; ಆದರೆ ಬಾಳನ ವಿಷಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಅವನು ಅಪರಾಧಿಯಾದ ಮೇಲೆ ಸತ್ತನು.
2ಈಗ ಅವರು ಹೆಚ್ಚೆಚ್ಚಾಗಿ ಪಾಪವನ್ನು ಮಾಡುತ್ತಾರೆ; ಸ್ವಂತ ಬುದ್ಧಿಯ ಪ್ರಕಾರ ತಮ್ಮ ಬೆಳ್ಳಿಯಿಂದ ಎರಕದ ವಿಗ್ರಹಗಳನ್ನೂ ಮೂರ್ತಿಗಳನ್ನೂ ಮಾಡಿಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಅವೆಲ್ಲವೂ ಶಿಲ್ಪಿಗಳ ಕೈಕೆಲಸವೇ, ಬಲಿ ಅರ್ಪಿಸುವ ಮನುಷ್ಯರು ಹಸುಗಳಿಗೆ ಮುದ್ದಿಡಲೆಂದು ಅವರು ಅವರ ವಿಷಯ ವಾಗಿ ಹೇಳಿದರು.
3ಆದದರಿಂದ ಅವರು ಪ್ರಾತಃ ಕಾಲದ ಮೇಘದ ಹಾಗೆಯೂ ಬೇಗನೆ ಮಾಯ ವಾಗುವ ಇಬ್ಬನಿ ಹಾಗೆಯೂ ಸುಳಿಗಾಳಿಯು ನೆಲದಿಂದ ಬಡಿದುಕೊಂಡು ಹೋಗುವ ಹೊಟ್ಟಿನ ಹಾಗೆಯೂ ಚಿಮಿಣಿಗೆಯಿಂದ ಹೊರಡುವ ಹೊಗೆಯ ಹಾಗೆಯೂ ಇರುವರು.
