ನೀತಿವಂತನು ನಾಶವಾಗುವನು, ಅದನ್ನು ಯಾವ ಮನುಷ್ಯನು ಮನಸ್ಸಿಗೆ ತಾರನು. ಕರುಣೆಯುಳ್ಳ ಮನುಷ್ಯರು ತೆಗೆದುಹಾಕಲ್ಪಡುವರು, ನೀತಿವಂತನು ಮುಂದೆ ಬರುವ ಕೇಡಿನಿಂದ ಪಾರಾಗು ತ್ತಾನೆಂಬದನ್ನು ಯಾರೂ ಯೋಚಿಸರು.
The righteous perisheth, and no man layeth [it] to heart: and merciful men [are] taken away, none considering that the righteous is taken away from the evil [to come].
ಅವನು ಸಮಾಧಾನಕ್ಕೆ ಪ್ರವೇಶಿಸುತ್ತಾನೆ. ಅವರಲ್ಲಿ ನೆಟ್ಟಗೆ ನಡೆಯುವ ಪ್ರತಿಯೊಬ್ಬನು ತನ್ನ ಹಾಸಿಗೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ವಿಶ್ರಮಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತಾನೆ.
He shall enter into peace: they shall rest in their beds, [each one] walking [in] his uprightness.
ಆದರೆ ನೀವು ಮಾಟಗಾರತಿಯ ಮಕ್ಕಳೇ, ಸೂಳೆಯ ಮತ್ತು ಜಾರನ ಸಂತಾನದವರೇ, ಇಲ್ಲಿಗೆ ಬನ್ನಿರಿ.
But draw near hither, ye sons of the sorceress, the seed of the adulterer and the whore.
ಯಾರ ವಿಷಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಕುಚೋದ್ಯ ಮಾಡುತ್ತೀರಿ? ಯಾರ ವಿಷಯವಾಗಿ ನೀವು ಬಾಯಿ ಅಗಲ ಮಾಡಿ ನಾಲಿಗೆಯನ್ನು ಚಾಚುತ್ತೀರಿ?
Against whom do ye sport yourselves? against whom make ye a wide mouth, [and] draw out the tongue? [are] ye not children of transgression, a seed of falsehood,
ಹಸಿರಾದ ಏಲಾ ಮರಗಳ ಕೆಳಗೆ ವಿಗ್ರಹಗಳಿಂದ ಮದವೇರಿಸಿ ಕೊಂಡು ಹಳ್ಳಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಬಂಡೆಗಳ ಬಿರುಕುಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಮಕ್ಕಳನ್ನು ಕೊಂದುಹಾಕುವ ನೀವು ದ್ರೋಹದ ಮಕ್ಕಳೂ ಸುಳ್ಳಿನ ಸಂತತಿಯೂ ಅಲ್ಲವೋ?
Enflaming yourselves with idols under every green tree, slaying the children in the valleys under the clifts of the rocks?
ಹಳ್ಳದ ನುಣುಪಾದ ಕಲ್ಲುಗಳು ನಿನ್ನ ಪಾಲು, ಅವುಗಳೇ ಹೌದು, ಅವೇ ನಿನ್ನ ಪಾಲು, ಅವುಗಳಿಗೆ ನೀನು ಪಾನದ್ರವ್ಯವನ್ನು ಮತ್ತು ಆಹಾರದರ್ಪಣೆಯನ್ನು ಅರ್ಪಿಸಿದ್ದೀ, ಇವುಗಳಿಂದ ನಾನು ಆದರಣೆ ಹೊಂದ ಬೇಕೋ?
Among the smooth [stones] of the stream [is] thy portion; they, they [are] thy lot: even to them hast thou poured a drink offering, thou hast offered a meat offering. Should I receive comfort in these?
ಮಹೋನ್ನತ ಪರ್ವತದಲ್ಲಿ ನೀನು ಹಾಸಿಗೆಯನ್ನು ಹಾಕಿಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದೀ. ಬಲಿ ಅರ್ಪಿಸುವ ದಕ್ಕೂ ಅಲ್ಲಿಗೆ ಏರಿದ್ದೀ.
Upon a lofty and high mountain hast thou set thy bed: even thither wentest thou up to offer sacrifice.
ಕದಗಳ ಮತ್ತು ನಿಲುವಿನ ಹಿಂಭಾಗದಲ್ಲಿ ನಿನ್ನ ಜ್ಞಾಪಕ ಚಿಹ್ನೆಯನ್ನು ಇಟ್ಟಿದ್ದೀ. ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಬಿಟ್ಟು ಬೇರೊಬ್ಬನಿಗೆ ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ತೋರ್ಪಡಿಸಿ ಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದೀ; ಏರಿಹೋಗಿ ನಿನ್ನ ಮಂಚವನ್ನು ಅಗಲ ಮಾಡಿಕೊಂಡು ಅವರೊಂದಿಗೆ ಒಪ್ಪಂದ ಮಾಡಿಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದೀ; ಅವರ ಮಂಚವನ್ನು ಕಂಡಲ್ಲಿ ಅದನ್ನು ಪ್ರೀತಿಮಾಡಿದ್ದೀ.
Behind the doors also and the posts hast thou set up thy remembrance: for thou hast discovered [thyself to another] than me, and art gone up; thou hast enlarged thy bed, and made thee [a covenant] with them; thou lovedst their bed where thou sawest [it].
ಬಹು ಸುಗಂಧ ದ್ರವ್ಯಗಳನ್ನು ಕೂಡಿಸಿ, ತೈಲದೊಂದಿಗೆ ರಾಜನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಹೋಗಿದ್ದೀ, ದೂರಕ್ಕೆ ನಿನ್ನ ಸೇವಕರನ್ನು ಕಳುಹಿಸಿದ್ದೀ, ಪಾತಾಳ ದಷ್ಟು ನೀಚಸ್ಥಿತಿಗೆ ಇಳಿದಿದ್ದೀ.
And thou wentest to the king with ointment, and didst increase thy perfumes, and didst send thy messengers far off, and didst debase [thyself even] unto hell.
ನಿನ್ನ ಮಾರ್ಗದಲ್ಲಿ ಬಹಳವಾಗಿ ದಣಿದಿದ್ದರೂ ನಿರೀಕ್ಷೆಯೇ ಇಲ್ಲ ಎಂದು ಅಂದುಕೊಳ್ಳಲಿಲ್ಲ. ನಿನ್ನ ಕೈಯಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಜೀವವನ್ನು ಕಂಡುಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದೀ, ಆದದರಿಂದ ನೀನು ದುಃಖಿಸಲಿಲ್ಲ.
Thou art wearied in the greatness of thy way; [yet] saidst thou not, There is no hope: thou hast found the life of thine hand; therefore thou wast not grieved.
ನೀನು ಸುಳ್ಳು ಹೇಳಿ ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಜ್ಞಾಪಕ ಮಾಡದೆ ಇಲ್ಲವೆ ಅದನ್ನು ಮನಸ್ಸಿಗೆ ತಾರದೆ ಇರುವಾಗ ಯಾರಿಗೆ ಅಂಜಿಕೊಂಡು ಭಯಪಟ್ಟಿ?
And of whom hast thou been afraid or feared, that thou hast lied, and hast not remembered me, nor laid [it] to thy heart? have not I held my peace even of old, and thou fearest me not?
ನಾನೇ ನಿನ್ನ ನೀತಿಯನ್ನೂ ನಿನ್ನ ಕ್ರಿಯೆಗಳನ್ನೂ ತಿಳಿಯ ಮಾಡುವೆನು. ಅವು ನಿನಗೆ ಪ್ರಯೋಜನವಾಗು ವದಿಲ್ಲ.
I will declare thy righteousness, and thy works; for they shall not profit thee.
ನೀನು ಕೂಗುವಾಗ ನಿನ್ನ ವಿಗ್ರಹಗಳು ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ತಪ್ಪಿಸಲಿ; ಆದರೆ ಇವುಗಳನ್ನೆಲ್ಲಾ ಗಾಳಿಯು ಬಡಿದುಕೊಂಡು ಹೋಗುವದು; ವ್ಯರ್ಥವಾದದ್ದು ಅವುಗಳನ್ನು ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಂಡು ಹೋಗುವದು; ಆದರೆ ನನ್ನಲ್ಲಿ ನಂಬಿಕೆ ಇಡುವವನು ದೇಶವನ್ನು ವಶಮಾಡಿ ಕೊಂಡು ನನ್ನ ಪರಿಶುದ್ಧ ಪರ್ವತವನ್ನು ಬಾಧ್ಯವಾಗಿ ಹೊಂದುವನು.
When thou criest, let thy companies deliver thee; but the wind shall carry them all away; vanity shall take [them:] but he that putteth his trust in me shall possess the land, and shall inherit my holy mountain;
ನೀವು ಎತ್ತರ ಮಾಡಿರಿ, ಎತ್ತರ ಮಾಡಿರಿ ಮಾರ್ಗ ವನ್ನು ಸಿದ್ಧಮಾಡಿರಿ, ನನ್ನ ಜನರ ಮಾರ್ಗದಿಂದ ಎಡ ವುದನ್ನು ಎತ್ತಿಹಾಕಿರಿ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳುವನು.
And shall say, Cast ye up, cast ye up, prepare the way, take up the stumblingblock out of the way of my people.
ಉನ್ನತನೂ ಎತ್ತರವಾದವನೂ ನಿತ್ಯವಾಗಿ ವಾಸಿ ಸುವವನೂ ಪರಿಶುದ್ಧನೆಂದು ಹೆಸರುಳ್ಳಾತನೂ ಹೀಗೆ ಹೇಳುತ್ತಾನೆ--ಉನ್ನತವಾದ ಪರಿಶುದ್ಧ ಸ್ಥಳದಲ್ಲಿ ವಾಸಿ ಸುವ ನಾನು ಪಶ್ಚಾತ್ತಾಪದೊಂದಿಗೆ ಮತ್ತು ದೀನನ ಆತ್ಮದೊಂದಿಗೆ ಇದ್ದುಕೊಂಡು ಅವರನ್ನು ಉಜ್ಜೀ ವಿಸುವವನಾಗಿದ್ದೇನೆ.
For thus saith the high and lofty One that inhabiteth eternity, whose name [is] Holy; I dwell in the high and holy [place], with him also [that is] of a contrite and humble spirit, to revive the spirit of the humble, and to revive the heart of the contrite ones.
ನಾನು ಎಂದೆಂದಿಗೂ ವ್ಯಾಜ್ಯ ವಾಡುವದಿಲ್ಲ, ಇಲ್ಲವೆ ಯಾವಾಗಲೂ ಕೋಪಿಸಿ ಕೊಳ್ಳೆನು. ಯಾಕಂದರೆ ಆತ್ಮವೂ ನಾನು ಉಂಟು ಮಾಡಿದ ಜೀವವೂ ನನ್ನಿಂದ ಕುಂದಿ ಹೋದಾವು.
For I will not contend for ever, neither will I be always wroth: for the spirit should fail before me, and the souls [which] I have made.
ಅವನ ದುರಾಶೆಯ ಅನ್ಯಾಯಕ್ಕೆ ನಾನು ಕೋಪ ಗೊಂಡು ಅವನನ್ನು ಹೊಡೆದೆನು. ನನ್ನ ಮುಖವನ್ನು ಮುಚ್ಚಿಕೊಂಡು ರೋಷಭರಿತ ನಾದೆನು; ಅವನು ಮೊಂಡತನದಿಂದ ತನ್ನ ಮನಸ್ಸಿಗೆ ಬಂದ ಹಾಗೆಯೇ ನಡೆಯುತ್ತಾ ಬಂದಿದ್ದಾನೆ.
For the iniquity of his covetousness was I wroth, and smote him: I hid me, and was wroth, and he went on frowardly in the way of his heart.
ನಾನು ಅವನ ಮಾರ್ಗವನ್ನು ನೋಡಿದ್ದೇನೆ. ಅವನನ್ನು ಸ್ವಸ್ಥಮಾಡಿ ಅವನನ್ನು ನಡಿಸುತ್ತೇನೆ ಮತ್ತು ಅವನಿಗೂ ಅವನ ದುಃಖಿತರಿಗೂ ಆದರಣೆಗಳನ್ನು ಪುನಃ ಸ್ಥಾಪಿಸುವೆನು.
I have seen his ways, and will heal him: I will lead him also, and restore comforts unto him and to his mourners.
ನಾನು ತುಟಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಫಲವನ್ನುಂಟು ಮಾಡುವ ವನಾಗಿ ಅವನಿಗೆ ದೂರವಾದವನಿಗೂ ಅವನಿಗೆ ಸವಿಾಪವಾದವನಿಗೂ ಸಮಾಧಾನವಿರಲಿ. ನಾನು ಅವನನ್ನು ಸ್ವಸ್ಥಮಾಡುವೆ ನೆಂದು ಕರ್ತನು ಹೇಳು ತ್ತಾನೆ.
I create the fruit of the lips; Peace, peace to [him that is] far off, and to [him that is] near, saith the LORD; and I will heal him.
ಆದರೆ ದುಷ್ಟರು ಸುಮ್ಮನಿರಲಾರದಂಥ, ಅದರ ನೀರುಗಳು ಕೆಸರನ್ನೂ ಮೈಲಿಗೆಯನ್ನೂ ಕಾರು ವಂಥ, ಅಲ್ಲಕಲ್ಲೋಲವಾಗಿರುವ ಸಮುದ್ರದ ಹಾಗಿ ದ್ದಾರೆ.ದುಷ್ಟರಿಗೆ ಸಮಾಧಾನವೇ ಇಲ್ಲವೆಂದು ನನ್ನ ದೇವರು ಹೇಳುತ್ತಾನೆ.
But the wicked [are] like the troubled sea, when it cannot rest, whose waters cast up mire and dirt.
ದುಷ್ಟರಿಗೆ ಸಮಾಧಾನವೇ ಇಲ್ಲವೆಂದು ನನ್ನ ದೇವರು ಹೇಳುತ್ತಾನೆ.
[There is] no peace, saith my God, to the wicked.
