- 13അവർ പട്ടണത്തിന്നു വടക്കു പടജ്ജനമായ സൈന്യത്തെ ഒക്കെയും പട്ടണത്തിന്നു പടിഞ്ഞാറു പതിയിരിപ്പുകാരെയും നിറുത്തി; യോശുവ ആ രാത്രി താഴ്‌വരയുടെ നടുവിലേക്കു പോയി.

- 16അവരെ പിന്തുടരേണ്ടതിന്നു പട്ടണത്തിലെ ജനത്തെ ഒക്കെയും വിളിച്ചുകൂട്ടി അവർ യോശുവയെ പിന്തുടർന്നു പട്ടണം വിട്ടു പുറത്തായി.
- 17ഹായിയിലും ബേഥേലിലും യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ പിന്നാലെ പുറപ്പെടാതെ ഒരുത്തനും ശേഷിച്ചില്ല; അവർ പട്ടണം തുറന്നിട്ടേച്ചു യിസ്രായേലിനെ പിന്തുടർന്നു.
