Then he said to Gehazi, Gird up thy loins, and take my staff in thine hand, and go thy way: if thou meet any man, salute him not; and if any salute thee, answer him not again: and lay my staff upon the face of the child.

4. 30తల్లి ఆ మాట వినియెహోవా జీవముతోడు నీ జీవముతోడు, నేను నిన్ను విడువనని చెప్పగా అతడు లేచి ఆమెతో కూడ పోయెను.
5. 31గేహజీ వారికంటె ముందుగా పోయి ఆ దండమును బాలుని ముఖముమీద పెట్టెను గాని యే శబ్దమును రాకపోయెను, ఏమియు వినవచ్చినట్టు కన బడలేదు గనుక వాడు ఏలీషాను ఎదుర్కొనవచ్చి బాలుడు మేలుకొనలేదని చెప్పెను.
