- 12సౌలును యోనాతానును యెహోవా జనులును ఇశ్రాయేలు ఇంటివారును యుద్ధములో కూలిరని వారిని గూర్చి దుఃఖపడుచు ఏడ్చుచు సాయంత్రము వరకు ఉపవాసముండిరి.
- 13తరువాత దావీదునీవెక్కడ నుండి వచ్చితివని ఆ వార్త తెచ్చినవాని నడుగగా వాడునేను ఇశ్రాయేలు దేశమున నివసించు అమాలేకీయుడగు ఒకని కుమారుడననెను.
