పౌలు మెట్లమీదికి వచ్చినప్పుడు జనులు గుంపుకూడి బలవంతము చేయుచున్నందున సైనికులు అతనిని మోసికొని పోవలసి వచ్చెను.

33పై యధికారి దగ్గరకు వచ్చి అతని పట్టుకొని, రెండు సంకెళ్లతో బంధించుమని ఆజ్ఞాపించి ఇతడెవడు? ఏమిచేసెనని అడుగగా,
34సమూహములో కొందరీలాగు కొందరాలాగు కేకలువేయుచున్నప్పుడు అల్లరిచేత అతడు నిజము తెలిసికొనలేక కోటలోనికి అతని తీసికొనిపొమ్మని ఆజ్ఞాపించెను.
35పౌలు మెట్లమీదికి వచ్చినప్పుడు జనులు గుంపుకూడి బలవంతము చేయుచున్నందున సైనికులు అతనిని మోసికొని పోవలసి వచ్చెను.
36ఏలయనగా వానిని చంపుమని జనసమూహము కేకలువేయుచు వెంబడించెను.
37వారు పౌలును కోటలోనికి తీసికొనిపోవనై యుండగా అతడు పైయధికారిని చూచినేను నీతో ఒకమాట చెప్పవచ్చునా? అని అడిగెను. అందుకతడు గ్రీకు భాషనీకు తెలియునా?
