వినినవారందరు విభ్రాంతినొంది, యెరూషలేములో ఈ నామమునుబట్టి ప్రార్థన చేయువారిని నాశనము చేసినవాడితడే కాడా? వారిని బంధించి ప్రధాన యాజకులయొద్దకు కొనిపోవుటకు ఇక్కడికికూడ వచ్చి యున్నాడని చెప్పు కొనిరి.

Vininavaarandaru vibhraantinondi, yerooshalemulo ee naamamunubatti praarthana cheyuvaarini naashanamu chesinavaaditade kaadaa? Vaarini bandhinchi pradhaana yaajakulayoddaku konipovutaku ikkadikikooda vachchi yunnaadani cheppu koniri.

King James Version (KJV): But all that heard [him] were amazed, and said; Is not this he that destroyed them which called on this name in Jerusalem, and came hither for that intent, that he might bring them bound unto the chief priests?
World English Bible (WEB): All who heard him were amazed, and said, “Isn’t this he who in Jerusalem made havoc of those who called on this name? And he had come here intending to bring them bound before the chief priests!”
American Standard Version (ASV): And all that heard him were amazed, and said, Is not this he that in Jerusalem made havoc of them that called on this name? and he had come hither for this intent, that he might bring them bound before the chief priests.
