వారునీవు ఊర కుండుము, నీ చెయ్యి నీ నోటి మీద ఉంచుకొని మాతోకూడ వచ్చి మాకు తండ్రివిగాను యాజకుడవుగాను ఉండుము, ఒకని యింటివారికే యాజ కుడవై యుండుట నీకు మంచిదా, ఇశ్రాయేలీయులలో ఒక గోత్ర మునకును కుటుంబమునకును యాజకుడవైయుం డుట మంచిదా? అని యడిగిరి.
Vaaruneevu oora kundumu, nee cheyyi nee noti meeda unchukoni maatokooda vachchi maaku tandrivigaanu yaajakudavugaanu undumu, okani yintivaarike yaaja kudavai yunduta neeku manchidaa, ishraayeleeyulalo oka gotra munakunu kutumbamunakunu yaajakudavaiyum duta manchidaa? Ani yadigiri.

- 20అప్పుడు ఆ యాజకుడు హృదయమున సంతోషించి ఆ ఏఫోదును గృహదేవతలను చెక్కబడిన ప్రతిమను పట్టుకొని ఆ జనుల మధ్య చేరెను.
- 21అట్లు వారు తిరిగి చిన్నపిల్లలను పశువులను సామగ్రిని తమకు ముందుగా నడిపించుకొనిపోయిరి.
