బుద్ధిహీనుడై తన పెదవులతో మూర్ఖముగా మాటలాడు వానికంటె యథార్థముగా ప్రవర్తించు దరిద్రుడే శ్రేష్ఠుడు.
Better [is] the poor that walketh in his integrity, than [he that is] perverse in his lips, and is a fool.
ఒకడు తెలివి లేకుండుట మంచిది కాదు తొందరపడి నడచువాడు దారి తప్పిపోవును. ఒకని మూర్ఖత వాని ప్రవర్తనను తారుమారు చేయును
Also, [that] the soul [be] without knowledge, [it is] not good; and he that hasteth with [his] feet sinneth.
అట్టివాడు హృదయమున యెహోవామీద కోపించును.
The foolishness of man perverteth his way: and his heart fretteth against the LORD.
ధనముగలవానికి స్నేహితులు అధికముగానుందురు, దరిద్రుడు తన స్నేహితులను పోగొట్టుకొనును.
Wealth maketh many friends; but the poor is separated from his neighbour.
కూటసాక్షి శిక్ష నొందకపోడు అబద్ధములాడువాడు తప్పించుకొనడు.
A false witness shall not be unpunished, and [he that] speaketh lies shall not escape.
అనేకులు గొప్పవారి కటాక్షము వెదకుదురు దాతకు అందరు స్నేహితులే.
Many will intreat the favour of the prince: and every man [is] a friend to him that giveth gifts.
బీదవాడు తన చుట్టములందరికి అసహ్యుడు అట్టివానికి స్నేహితులు మరి దూరస్థులగుదురు వాడు నిరర్థకమైన మాటలు వెంటాడువాడు.
All the brethren of the poor do hate him: how much more do his friends go far from him? he pursueth [them with] words, [yet] they [are] wanting [to him].
బుద్ధి సంపాదించుకొనువాడు తన ప్రాణమునకు ఉపకారి వివేచనను లక్ష్యము చేయువాడు మేలు పొందును.
He that getteth wisdom loveth his own soul: he that keepeth understanding shall find good.
కూటసాక్షి శిక్షనొందకపోడు అబద్ధములాడువాడు నశించును.
A false witness shall not be unpunished, and [he that] speaketh lies shall perish.
భోగముల ననుభవించుట బుద్ధిహీనునికి తగదు రాజులనేలుట దాసునికి బొత్తిగా తగదు.
Delight is not seemly for a fool; much less for a servant to have rule over princes.
ఒకని సుబుద్ధి వానికి దీర్ఘశాంతము నిచ్చును తప్పులు క్షమించుట అట్టివానికి ఘనతనిచ్చును.
The discretion of a man deferreth his anger; and [it is] his glory to pass over a transgression.
రాజు కోపము సింహగర్జనవంటిది అతని కటాక్షము గడ్డిమీద కురియు మంచు వంటిది.
The king’s wrath [is] as the roaring of a lion; but his favour [is] as dew upon the grass.
బుద్ధిహీనుడగు కుమారుడు తన తండ్రికి చేటుతెచ్చును భార్యతోడి పోరు ఎడతెగక పడుచుండు బిందువులతో సమానము.
A foolish son [is] the calamity of his father: and the contentions of a wife [are] a continual dropping.
గృహమును విత్తమును పితరులిచ్చిన స్వాస్థ్యము సుబుద్ధిగల భార్య యెహోవాయొక్క దానము.
House and riches [are] the inheritance of fathers: and a prudent wife [is] from the LORD.
సోమరితనము గాఢనిద్రలో పడవేయును సోమరివాడు పస్తు పడియుండును.
Slothfulness casteth into a deep sleep; and an idle soul shall suffer hunger.
ఆజ్ఞను గైకొనువాడు తన్ను కాపాడుకొనువాడు తన ప్రవర్తన విషయమై అజాగ్రతగా నుండువాడు చచ్చును.
He that keepeth the commandment keepeth his own soul; [but] he that despiseth his ways shall die.
బీదలను కనికరించువాడు యెహోవాకు అప్పిచ్చు వాడు వాని ఉపకారమునకు ఆయన ప్రత్యుపకారము చేయును.
He that hath pity upon the poor lendeth unto the LORD; and that which he hath given will he pay him again.
బుద్ధి వచ్చునని నీ కుమారుని శిక్షింపుము అయితే వాడు చావవలెనని కోరవద్దు.
Chasten thy son while there is hope, and let not thy soul spare for his crying.
మహా కోపియగువాడు దండన తప్పించుకొనడు వాని తప్పించినను వాడు మరల కోపించుచునే యుండును.
A man of great wrath shall suffer punishment: for if thou deliver [him], yet thou must do it again.
నీవు ముందుకు జ్ఞానివగుటకై ఆలోచన విని ఉపదేశము అంగీకరించుము.
Hear counsel, and receive instruction, that thou mayest be wise in thy latter end.
నరుని హృదయములో ఆలోచనలు అనేకములుగా పుట్టును యెహోవాయొక్క తీర్మానమే స్థిరము.
[There are] many devices in a man’s heart; nevertheless the counsel of the LORD, that shall stand.
కృప చూపుట నరుని పరులకు ప్రియునిగా చేయును అబద్ధికునికంటె దరిద్రుడే మేలు.
The desire of a man [is] his kindness: and a poor man [is] better than a liar.
యెహోవాయందు భయభక్తులు కలిగియుండుట జీవసాధనము అది కలిగినవాడు తృప్తుడై అపాయము లేకుండ బ్రదుకును.
The fear of the LORD [tendeth] to life: and [he that hath it] shall abide satisfied; he shall not be visited with evil.
సోమరి పాత్రలో చెయ్యి ముంచునేగాని తన నోటికి దాని తిరిగి ఎత్తనైన ఎత్తడు.
A slothful [man] hideth his hand in [his] bosom, and will not so much as bring it to his mouth again.
అపహాసకులు దండింపబడగా చూచి జ్ఞానము లేని వారు జ్ఞానము నొందుదురు వివేకులను గద్దించినయెడల వారు జ్ఞానవృద్ధి నొందుదురు.
Smite a scorner, and the simple will beware: and reprove one that hath understanding, [and] he will understand knowledge.
తండ్రికి కీడుచేసి తల్లిని తరిమివేయువాడు అవమానమును అపకీర్తిని కలుగజేయువాడు.
He that wasteth [his] father, [and] chaseth away [his] mother, [is] a son that causeth shame, and bringeth reproach.
నా కుమారుడా, తెలివి పుట్టించు మాటలు నీవు మీరగోరితివా? ఉపదేశము వినుట ఇక మానుకొనుము.
Cease, my son, to hear the instruction [that causeth] to err from the words of knowledge.
వ్యర్థుడైన సాక్షి న్యాయము నపహసించును భక్తిహీనుల నోరు దోషమును జుర్రుకొనును.
An ungodly witness scorneth judgment: and the mouth of the wicked devoureth iniquity.
అపహాసకులకు తీర్పులును బుద్ధిహీనుల వీపులకు దెబ్బలును నియమింపబడినవి.
Judgments are prepared for scorners, and stripes for the back of fools.
